just say no deal continues the dialogue

Posted on November 4th, 2008 in just say no deal | puma by hireheels

Good Morning - we need a few days to set up a separate forum - we will continue this thread until that time:

What, you thought there wouldn’t be a home for you this morning? Nonsense! You needn’t fret, for this is only the beginning. When else in your life have you felt so committed to your country? To a cause? To your comrades?

Exactly.

You have already won. You won even before Hillary suspended her speech. You have the tools to continue to be heard.

You must, because, sadly, other things also won here…sexism, thuggery, fraud and corruption. Do not discount your efforts. We came together because we saw a horrible wrong and needed to make it right. Ignorance may be bliss, but knowledge is power and no one can erase our knowledge of the 2008 election.

We will continue to fight for all those persons who feel left out or counted out— regardless of sex, race, religion, orientation, socioeconomic background or political affiliation. We will proudly continue to put COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY. Stay engaged JSND and PUMA peeps as we plod forward — 2010 is just around the corner!!

Just think: Bill Clinton’s impeachment spawned moveon.org …Hillary Clinton’s destruction spawned justsaynodeal.com

LET IT RIP GUYS….

Welcome to HireHeels PUMA and JSND Peeps. Shoe-savvy chics and sugar daddies will be poll dancin’ all day and all night long until the results come in!!

Sista and Princess still say “SUCK MY CAUCUS!” And we’re still saying NO DEAL to sexism, misogyny, thuggery, fraud, corruption and SENSIBLE SHOES (except today—cause you’re gonna need em)! So don those comfy Uggs, Doc M’s or Nike Air’s and heel-toe-it to the polls.

Your vote is your voice and your voice matters. So get out there and scream (even louder than Howard Dean). Cast that vote. Then come back here and dish. We want to know what’s going on, on the ground in your state. We also want you to continue to fight for voters’ rights! If you see any funny business or shenanigans— stand TALL to stop all fraud!!!

    Remember COUNTRY B4 PARTY!
    Thanks to all.
    Luv,
    Sista & Princess

yes we can (vote for mccain!)

Morning everybody! The big day is here! This campaign seemed like an eternity and was a rollercoaster which makes the Busch gardens look like a retiring home! It is show time and letting all the events pass in front of my eyes with all their twists and turns, it all of a sudden becomes very simple and clear. There is nothing without principles. If you strip away all the debates, the sound bites, the Greek columns, the MSM and the financial crisis, leadership ultimately needs to be rooted in principles. You either have it or you don’t. You can’t build character over 20 months or read it if off a teleprompter. The most suave lover can whipser sweet nothing into your ear (and I am the first one to admit that I would like that a loooot), but that will ultimately wear off. Character and substance trump style any day in my book! Every country deserves leaders with principles, however, at a time like this with multiple challenges ahead the need for leadership is even higher. The country needs a leader with personal integrity, rather then somebody who will flip flop thru the challenges ahead. The country can’t risk electing a candidate only to find out that the future POTUS might consider a particularly tricky crisis above his pay grade. Joe Bidden to the rescue – I don’t think so! Comparing the two candidates, well there is no comparison is there? The list of questions which hang over Senator Obama’s character is long (Ayers, Rezko, Acorn, campaign financing, primaries, sexism, birth certificate, accomplishments etc). Interestingly the campaign has never even tried to address the concerns of the people of the USA . Well, I guess it is because the answers are uncomfortable and don’t make BO electable – it is rather easier to scream racisms and get the MSM into the tank! In my choices of friends I have always been drawn to people with personal integrity who will stand up for their believes rather then people who will I try to please me at all cost. I think this is also an excellent guidance when it comes to choose politicians! Ultimately you get what you vote for and the beauty of democrazy is that you can vote

Girls - kick ass! The future is female!

I voted McCain Palin because my vote in the primary for Hillary was deleted by cheating a holes formerly known as the democratic party. Palin wasn’t a deciding factor for me because I was in Washington for the so called “rulz” meeting and decided right then and there what I was going to do.

Never going back, Not forgetting, Not forgiving the unforgivable. And EVEN IF the misogynist wins and takes Larry Summers to the White House cabinet with him…I will spend the next four years doing all I can to help get Gigi’s film and the whole truth out to middle America. And so heap the disgrace upon the teleprompter jesus he so richly deserves and earned.

I voted McCain/Palin because the Soroscrats stole this election in the primaries from me and as a woman I resent the hell out of that having had a g. grandmother who was a suffragette.

As a happy coincidence all the green party down ticket candidates were women. I voted them each and every one.

ROCK YOUR BLOCK!! Take your neighbors to vote McCain today!!

When I ask people, “Why do you like Palin?” they respond, “Because she is normal.” They see her family as normal, her way of talking as normal, and her personality as their personality. More intriguing, people I have asked seem to really want to watch Palin’s family for the next four years. They did not respond the same to McCain’s family, or Obama and Biden’s.

Governor Sarah Palin CLEARED. See note from my FNC colleague Dan Springer

    From: Springer, Dan
    Sent: Monday, November 03, 2008 7:21 PM
    To:
    Subject: Urgent
Personnel Board investigator assigned to look into Troopergate, found
no probable cause that Palin violated the state’s ethics law.

This is reversal of legislative investigation which concluded she had
    abused her power.
Dan just sent a second email that had this note in it…I am not sure if this is language right from the decision or not:

there is absolutely no evidence to support a finding of probable cause
for violation of the executive ethics act against the gov.

PUMAs across this country rise up and ROAR from the east coast to the west coast, from sea to shining sea! We are many in number and WE REMEMBER how Obama treated Hillary during the primaries. We remember how Obama and the DNC stole our votes from Florida and from Michigan. We remember how Obama and the media have degraded women, our mothers, our daughters, our sisters, all women!!

I am still an undecided voter. I just don’t trust BO, but I believe in the Democratic agenda and not the agenda of the far right. Hillary was the best candidate for the job. I was on her finance committee. I am one of the many in the Maxed Out Women group, worked to organized bus trips from CNY to primaries and fund raisers in other states and raised lots of $$$. In late August we raised $60,000 for Dan Maffei for a fundraiser at my home which Hillary attended as a special guest. Obviously most of the event’s success was due to the number of folks that came to see Senator Clinton. Please keep me on your list. I have been a Hillary supporter ever since I met her in 1998. My daughter was one of her first Senate interns in her NYC office. Thanks for all you have done.

I plan to stay an independent (at least in spirit) but I do recognize that to have any input in selection I have to register with one of the major parties. I don’t really want to go back to a corrupt democratic party. If there were another party? Ideally, it would be a third party that could bring in the moderates from all directions and represent most Americans Maybe we should keep PUMA alive. Party of Unified Moderate Americans? Or the original meaning of PUMA works just fine too. (A former democrat from 1968 to 2008 and a current independent from a very long line of democrats who would understand.) I can vote for McCain but I’m not a republican. I’m not a socialist, not conservative, am partly liberal, but am mostly moderate. There is not a current party that reflects my beliefs.

If you don’t feel powerful, if you don’t think you count or can’t do anything about the state of our nation — think again. You hold 2 votes in your hand. That’s right. Two. Your vote for McCain creates a 2 point spread over bo. If you write in HRC (as many of us would like to do in her honor), if you vote Green or other 3rd party, if you abstain because you just can’t vote Republican or you have to vote with the so-called principles of the Democratic party, you’ve given away your power to change anything.

Use your power today for the good of our nation to defeat an unprincipled man whose only goals are to increase his own personal power.

looking to see who I voted for. What a sham! Those people were shipped in. They were sugary sweet, my vote kept popping back as ‘rejected’, etc. You have no idea. I live in Broward County, Florida. What a disappointment.

To all the PUMAs out there! THANK YOU! I am a Republican. I also realize that this country needs the Democratic Party to get back to its roots. It has been hijacked by elitist radicals and they have gotten precariously close to getting one of their own radicals elected. I also saw how the your Party TRASHED their rank and file constituents during the Convention. I was appalled that they wouldn’t even allow a state by state Roll Call. That is our tradition as US Citizens! That is THE reason why the Conventions are held! That was when the 18 million Hillary Clinton supporters could get their final shot at nominating her. If it got ugly, then so be it. That is politics. your voices should have been heard!

Let us hope that (together) we will defeat this ‘enemy of the state.’ Then we will square off against each other in 2012, but I will always admire you and never underestimate you. {”the enemy of my enemy is my friend”} VIVA LA REVOLUCION! Well, it’s November, and I remember… being told to “get over it”. I remember the media calling us “bitter”, “old”, “bitches”.
I remember Donna saying the “new coalition” Dems could win this for The One - the very young, AAs, and elite-libs did not need the “old coalition” Dems. Donna failed to include cartoon characters and a ton of dead folks in her description of the “new coalition” - guess they were not as confident that Bambi could pull this one off, without a little help. I remember a whole lot of stuff i wish I could forget about this election. The primary theme of this election season, courtesy of MSM and the Obama campaign has been MISOGYNY.

So, here’s to you Donna, Nancy, and Howard - I’m having a couple of sips of my mimosa - actually more than a couple. Today, this life-long Dem is voting for the Republican.

Thank-you fellow PUMAs for making this election so much less painful.

I drove through an ice storm here in Northern VA to vote for Hillary in February, arriving at the polls with 5 minutes to spare. I saw a lot of people turned away after the polls closed at 7:00pm - in spite of the awful weather conditions. Thank you to all of you PUMAs for keeping me sane for the past several months. This is a beginning regardless of how the election turns out. Hopefully McCain will win. But I am ready to move onto the next agenda, and that is to eliminate the corrupt politicians of the DNC, both from the House and Senate. People like Wasserman-Schultz, Wexler, Frank and Dodd. The House runs again soon. We need to fund those that oppose these bums, contribute and assist in their defeat. We cannot quit.
We need a centrist party, and centrist Congress that will represent the majority of the American people. We may be set back with an Obama victory; but that should only spur us on with greater determination.

If it was good enough for him, who am I to argue. The odds are against Mac, but he’s seen worse odds. I’ll deal no matter what but the democratic party has to change. Well, this is it! NEVER! NEVER! do I want to relive the last 2 years again. It has been a time I will not forget as long as I live and I know will be written down in history as the biggest election ever to effect the lives of the American people. We don’t know in which way yet, but my hope and prayers are that, God willing, McCain will win and save us from “the one”. I have lost family and friends during this election because I stood up for the principles of the former democratic party. I have been laughed at and mocked for my beliefs, been told the country is not ready for a women president or vice president, and worse, shunned. I now have experienced what it would be like in a socialistic society. I voted yesterday for the first time republican straight down the ticket, without any hesitation, after voting for 36 years democrat. I will from this point work to take back the party I believe in no matter what the outcome of today is.
The only issue now, concerning the party of the democrats, should be to bring a “transparency” within the party of those involved with the lies and corruption we have all witnessed. Until then the “kool aid stain” left on the party will continue to control the ones who drank it.
My P.U.M.A. instincts tell me us pumas have work to do. So lets rest, nourish and be good to ourselves.
What we know that o b does not - Real change comes when it is brought about, not by your ego, but by reality.

THIS JUST CAME IN FROM MCCAIN CAMPAIGN RE: PROBLEMS IN CLEVELAND:

Police are asking the slate card and campaign volunteers to stay more than 300 feet away from the polling stations’ entrances. However, the ohio state law says you can put yard signs and campaign and hand out slate cards as long as you are 100 FEET AWAY FROM THE ENTRANCE on election day only. Please do not let the police tell you otherwise and contact the lawyers immediately. Contact me at 703489155 and I will find a lawyer for you but under no circumstances, have them take away the slate cards and take you off the polling location premises because the cops are misinformed. It is the OHIO STATE LAW that you can campaign 100 FEET AWAY FROM THE ENTRANCE TO THE POLLING STATIONS. TELL ALL VICTORY PEOPLE AS WELL AS NOONE SEEMS TO KNOW THIS VITAL LAW. PUT YARDSIGNS 100 FEET AWAY FROM THE ENTRANCE

i am still an undecided voter. i just don’t trust bo, but i believe in the democratic agenda and not the agenda of the far right. hillary was the best candidate for the job. i was on her finance committee. i am one of the many in the maxed out women group, worked to organized bus trips from cny to primaries and fund raisers in other states and raised lots of $$$. in late august we raised $60,000 for dan maffei for a fundraiser at my home which hillary attended as a special guest. obviously most of the event’s success was due to the number of folks that came to see senator clinton. please keep me on your list. i have been a hillary supporter ever since i met her in 1998. my daughter was one of her first senate interns in her nyc office. thanks for all you have done.

You can’t vote on the issues if your vote doesn’t count. The man who has no honor and ran his campaign like Genghis Khan can not be trusted to govern like the Dalai Lama. To vote for Obama is to condone the scorched earth strategy and marginalization of elderly, working class, gays, uneducated and women. I choose not to reward the DNC for what they did in the name of “Unity”.

I feel that we have just come through a sewer of lies, deception, corruption, bribes and treachery. The Fraud has debased our Democracy, but we have fought it, the MSM, and exhorted others to join the JSND coalition, the PUMA and NOBAMA battalions to do the right thing.

God bless Will, Diane, Cristi and all the teams that formed and fought with the other leaders and voices for women and our nation. Never give up, never submit, grow, learn and prosper–Palin will be in office or will come back and we can

Sure I don’t agree with you about everything, but I agree with you far more than I ever thought I would with a “liberal”.

I will continue to face a lot of heat from my friends and family because I did not vote my race. Had it been Hillary, I would have voted Democrat all the way. I voted for Saxby (to make sure that the Dems don’t get to 60) and voted against John Lewis, who ran unapposed (i wrote in my own name) cause he has not backbone (he changed his vote against Hillar).

When I voted in the primaries, I voted for Hillary Clinton. I totally expected to vote for John McCain in the long run but was not COMPLETELY convinced. I chose Hillary because, know it would come down to either her or Obama, I found her to be MUCH more qualified. In the end, I wanted my choice to be between the two BEST candidates. Unfortunately, the Democratic Party didn’t play fair. I’m an Independent and Hillary was quite impressive to me. I voted for McCain today. I honestly don’t know which way I would have gone if Hillary were still there. My wife was a very strong Hillary supporter. For the first time in her life (and we don’t have much money) she actually donated to a candidate. She is voting for McCain later. I applaud you all for standing by your ideals.

You have kept me sane the past few months.
Went to the polls at 6:00 a.m. with my sister. The lines were around the corner. But once they opened the doors things moved pretty quickly. My sister speculated that these were all Obama supporters. (I live in a predominantly Black community in NYC) I told her, you don’t know that. We’re here and we’re not voting for him. I wondered how many closet McCain supporters there were on that line.

Just a funny note: two young people (looked like twenty-somethings) were making their way to the back of the line. When they got to where me and my sister were standing and they realized how long the line was, the woman said,”F**ck it” and they turned around. My sister and I both laughed that those are the people Obama is counting on!

To pass the rest of the day (at least part of it) I plan to print a growling puma from the Pumapac site and go to Staples and have it enlarged. Don’t plan on turning on my tv before 10 p.m. Tonight my Hillary for president sign finally comes out of my front window to be replaced by a growling puma. ROAR PUMAs ROAR!!! God bless America!

I’ve been a member of the party formerly known as Democratic since registering 38 years ago and have always voted Democratic. After what I’ve witnessed during this election season, never again. I’m ashamed of what the party has become. I’m voting a straight Republican ticket today for the first time in my life. Time to clean up the cheating, corruption, fraud, lying, sexism/misogyny/male supremacy, thuggery, outright violence and bashing of this country and its founding principles. I’m using my vote to help show all the corrupt, conniving, lying, thieving, women-hating career politicians (e.g. Dems) the ‘exit’ sign. McCain-Palin, the reformers who will help clean up Capitol Hill and Wall St. and put government back on the side of the people where it belongs.

Don’t wake up tomorrow wishing you’d taken that one final step that would have made all the difference in upholding the principles and processes of democracy on which this nation was founded, that one step that would have made all the difference in ensuring a government that derives its just powers from the consent of the governed, not a government that would become so big it can seize everything we have, including our precious freedoms.Thanks.

I want to say a special thanks to each PUMA for your efforts and your ideals. I must admit that as a Rep. I was scared to death of Hillary, because I knew she was a most formidable opponent. I was a bit miffed when I saw what was going on with her and the DNC and puppet master BO. I want to thank each and every PUMA for breaking from the ranks and putting Country first.

I would also like to state that should BO win this election, I will stand out and shout from the MTN tops for Hillary in 2012, as she would make a fine president and BO is a dangerous man with bad intentions, and the country is blinded by the light. We will stand with you in 2012, but WE THANK YOU IN 2008!!!!!!

I wore red today because I’m sending cosmic karma to turn every key state red with millions of votes for McCain-Palin. Let’s help Sarah crash through that last glass ceiling, so she and Mac — the reformers — can sweep clean the corruption on Capitol Hill and Wall St. and put our corrupt, wayward government back on the side of ‘we, the people’ where it belongs.

I just voted a straight Republican ticket for the first time in 38 years. It felt real, real good. It was a vote for the America where I was born and raised, and of which I’ve always been proud. It was a vote for the heroes who are willing to stand up, speak out and fight for America and never back down. It was a vote for liberty and equality. It was a vote for all of us everyday working Americans who are heroes each and every day of our lives — caring for our families and for each other, continuing to strive for our dreams and pass those dreams on to our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Long live the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution/Bill of Rights, and long may old glory wave. So long as there are PUMAs, they shall endure.

I have this funny feeling that we will be sending a big message to the Democratic Party tonight.

When asked what lucky charms she’d been using throughout the campaign, to carry them over the line tonight, Sarah said, “My family, my faith.” She is truly inspiring. A Few voting tips…if you write in hillary your vote will be lost unfortunately. it won’t go to obama and it wont go to mccain.
It wont help in other words.

Oh if your a registered dem, you can still vote republic for McCain, it will count twice (as 2 votes) according to this mathematician who is figuring out all this poll stuff.

Apparently with this fellows calculation, in order to have a landslide, McCain would have to have 1.2 million PUMA votes. Well we have 18 million Hillary voters. Some will vote for McCain that’s the ones we need, then others will write-in Hillary and some will vote Independent, and some obama, and some others. Well you can’t tell me we can’t get 1.2 million McCain voters out of 18 million. Looks like pretty good odds to me. So its a done deal. Piece of Cake. Why worry.

Still go out and vote for McCain, we don’t want anything left to chance.

The last thing, people have been having trouble with the machines. If your a McCain/Palin repub vote starts to go dem, in other words, Obama pops up) start over and vote repub across the board including mccain/Palin and then it will go through. There is a possibility that the voting machines have been rigged, which will come out later if there has to be an investigation of voter fraud, which I imagine there will be a lot of those.

Saw that video of Hillary she looks like she has been crying all nite…She looks very upset….

In my poll in Va, Barack’s name was on the top, okay…. I choose Repub all the way. When the summary screen came up, it was confusing; for president, it had just the party, no candidate name but across from senator and delegate it had the candidate’s name. A poll worker came over because I was taken aback and wasn’t gonna push vote until I was sure that the McCain vote was correct. He said he did not know why it was that way. I honestly don’t remember if this was the case in 2004 but I don’t like it; it reminds me of the smarmy sneaky ways of the DNC this year. BOOOOOOO Dems!!!!!!!

They have been this way since the primary and were all against Hillary, which astounded me and hurt my feelings because we are all in our 40’s and 50’s and I thought prowomen. Wrong. Now that they have become fanatics, its been a little lonely. I voted for McCain/Palin, the first time in my life I’ve voted against a democrat. I just want to say thank you. I have found this whole election season very depressing. I am a registered Republican but I have crossed party lines to vote for the person that I think was the best person. My only daughter passed away suddenly in 2002 and she was a democrat. I join you in spirit of her and appreciate you all for the work you’ve done and the hope that you have given me. I have read almost every link on jsnd daily. After the election, I would like to join your drive to work against all corrupt politicans regardless of what party they belong to. My one hope is that everyone’s eyes have been opened - we are all Americans and just because we joined a political party for whatever reason, not all Democrats are Liberal nuts and not all Republicans are Far Right nuts. Most of us are in the middle and just want the best for our country. May God bless you all and May God bless America.

    hi all,
although a puma member i have never blogged i have spent many nights on my computer participating in the puma powls and emailing everyone possible anything that i could get my hands on to show people what a thug obama is. i appreciate you all for always being here and my source of strength when times got rough on the trail. I like many of you voted a straight republican ticket in florida. I hope and have prayed all day that the man who posted the mccain/palin landslide victory is right. i am trying not to watch the news but feel so compelled to see where we are at every hour. say we are going to win, pray we are going to win….once again thanks for this site and let’s keep this party moving on no matter what happens tonight…always a puma…country first!

Sista the fox news analyst just broke down the PA vote, which they have called for BO and actually said that only “white Catholics” voted for McCain! Are we going to take this slander without a response? Apparently the koolaid water has been piped from beantown directly into the Fox studios. This pro-choice Catholic voted for McCain/Palin.

don’t forget the military vote is going to be late….it was late being sent to them over there. McCain filed suit and requested there votes come late and be counted.
    have to wait on that…

Hang in there everybody. Paul Marston over at the Marston Chronicles website is providing me with some peace of mind. I cannot even watch the cable news stations anymore. Their early projections are depressing and irresponsible. Hang in there you guys! We have to remain positive. I have faith that in the end, the numbers will come through for McCain, once they are all counted.

If you guys know anyone out west who has not voted or who is depressed about what they are seeing on tv, please encourage them to go and vote. Each vote counts since the polls out west are still open!

I’m starting to get a little nervous. I’m not liking what I see and I feel like the worst is coming. But, I really hope not.
