pumas cut in on clinton-obama dance
So it seems that Senator Clinton and Senator Obama have reached an agreement to let her name be entered into a roll call during the convention. How sweet of the Illinois senator to allow the New York senator to exercise her right as a candidate, the same as all the male candidates before her have done. How thoughtful. How gracious. (Oh, never mind. That’s just gonna make me puke, and I ain’t in the mood.)
![]()
You may have noticed I just dropped an uncharacteristic ain’t in there. All these hush-hush, anonymously-sourced reports that Hil will pledge fealty turn her delegates over to Obama in exchange for this largesse are making me think of a political wit whose wisdom I miss terribly: Molly Ivins. In 1998, the tart Texan broad—and I use broad as the highest compliment—wrote You Got to Dance With Them What Brung You. She defended the Clintons from their overwrought, pathologically-warped enemies without letting Bill off the hook for his own mistakes. The title refers to the old Texan wisdom that it’s just not right to dump your date at a dance.
Well, the convention is the big dance. We PUMAs would be purring in our marabou mules to see Hillary take the nomination, and we know damn well that there’s only a sliver-wide superdelegate margin separating her from Obama. The outcome is not written in stone. Whatever “deal” was in the works, whatever backroom negotiations had to take place just to allow Hillary her right as a candidate, I have one thing to beg Hillary: Dance with them what brung you.
Your supporters, your delegates, your superdelegates, and the PUMAs have gone through hell and high water to stand up for you. We’ve fought accusations of racism and hatred and been called everything that you’ve been called. Some PUMAs faced threats to their safety (except without the benefit of Secret Service protection). Some supported you from the beginning of your candidacy; others, like me, warmed to you because of the grace and grit you demonstrated when you faced a level of hatred the other candidates in your field can never, ever imagine. We hung in there when your campaign stumbled and when you picked it back up. We hung in there when the mainstream media and the self-important pundits slapped you with every sexist, misogynistic label and image short of Photoshopping you in a miniskirt with sasquatch-hairy legs and a strap-on. Then we just said: NO DEAL! In doing so, we forced the media to acknowledge that we matter, our votes matter, and that even the oh-so-enlightened Democratic party shouldn’t be allowed to get away with telling us to sit down, shut up and be good, silent little girls. Don’t you dare hang up your dancing shoes before you dance, really dance, with the ones what brung you. You never know—you might just come home with the championship trophy.

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME POST MINXIE…
Hope you’ll appreciate the splash page music for the “last dance”….
No matter what happens next, iron-jawed PUMAs have made history! Obama cannot win without Hillary — of course, we always knew that — but now they’re they are forced to face it (and us!) …
even if he is crowned @ invesco, the Senator from New York will always reign supreme!!

Great article and I certainly agree but who is going to get this kind of info to Hillary? Certainly not the media, I have already heard comments such as, it is a symbolic gesture to unify the party instead of saying the roll call vote is the democratic process in action. Also heard media say Hillary will turn over her delegates to Obama and call for unity. I do not believe that is true after she is aware of all we have been doing to support her having our voices heard and then giving her delegates over to Obama would be disasterous. There must be some way for us to get our message to Hillary Fight until the end stand up to the DNC and the Obama campaign you deserve the nomination and we your supporters must see a fair and just roll call vote, no under the table deals because we know they will try to make Hillary the scapegoat. We must get your message out to her If the proper procedure is followed there is no question Hillary could win the nomination if there are no back room deals made and if there are we will be able to tell and then they will not see a unified party no matter what.
on August 15th, 2008 at 12:39 pm
Here’s a message to send to delegates and super delegates in your state:
“Even if you’ve been asked by Hillary Clinton to support Obama, I urge you to pay close attention to the polls and trends. I do not believe Obama can win in Nov., and the party and the country will be better served if Hillary is the nominee. As a delegate you are allowed to respectfully disagree with Senator Clinton and support her to be the nominee.”
on August 15th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
In her portion of the joint statement on Thursday, Clinton left no doubt about who was the party’s nominee.
“With every voice heard and the party strongly united, we will elect Senator Obama president of the United States and put our nation on the path to peace and prosperity once again,” Clinton said.
She said it, not me…she lost then by over 100 delegates, thats no sliver. Her campaign was a wreck, just read the atlantic memos her advisors have chosen to leak. She mismanaged over a quarter of a billion dollars. She will get props in Denver but its Obamas party now. Dont blame Obama for her inability to manage her campaign.
on August 15th, 2008 at 1:20 pm
I can’t wait till Obama accepts his nomination in front of 75,000 people in Denver. I’m gonna come back to this site to see who your gonna start writing to then. LMAO…
on August 15th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
Tbone, for the millionth time, seeing you seem to be suuuuuch a slow learner: I don’t blame Obama for Clinton’s own mistakes. Never have. every campaign makes mistakes. I do blame him and his allies in the DNC power bloc for thwarting her and propping him up at every opportunity, with manipulation of the rules, their subtle and not-so-subtle manipulation of and capitulation to the mainstream media, their tacit cooperation with the rampant misogyny and sexism in the public conversation (ask any puma who’s gotten swarmed by Obama supporters how sexist their rants were), for not just pretending their sh*to don’t stink but that they don’t even poop at all, and for blaming pumas for calling b.s. on their b.s., as is our right as American voters.
As for the atlantic memos, I have to wonder if those aren’t the desperate attempts of some half-assed, overpaid consultants to cover their own behinds. Notice how much better Hillary did in contests after her stumble post-super tuesday, when she diminished their roles in leading her campaign and took a firmer hand defining herself.
There will be a quiz on this material.
on August 15th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
It has really turned me off that Senator Clinton and Bill Clinton are even going to be at this convention. I would never have recognized Osama after his and the DNCs treatment of Senator Clinton and other women…telling us to “Get Over It” well I am over it and so are my friends…we have all unsubscribed to anything to do with Senator Clinton and were never subscribed to any websites connected to Osama, but, we are voting for Seantor McCain…Senator Clinton has probably ended her chances of ever becoming the first woman President…by rolling over like they they all wanted her to do..I respected her for her strength…and now I will no longer help pay off her campaign debt…and will not continue to be even be a Democrat, because of Dean/Pelosi?Kerry/Kennedy and now Senator Clinton…we do not have more in common with Osama than McCain…McCain has honor and exxperience and is willing to rethink what’s best for Americans, like drilling…the leberal Democrats along with their Hollywood supporters/leaders….care about themselves and money.,….and I guess Senator Clinton has joined the same group…we do not plan on watching “The ONE” aka “The Messiah Coming” in denver or the demeaning pat on the head of Senator Clinton, the woman we all fought for for over a year and supported for as long…both financially and in many other ways…We all thought she was tough and stood for everything we had wanted, for us…but, turns out…she’ll roll just like the rest of the politicians in Washington… We are all re-registering as Republicans, we are not liberals…and we want to save the American voters, not Hollywood….they are the part of this country that are destroying us and our children…We believe Senator McCain can and will keep our country safe and that he is an honest man and while not perfect, he is NOT BUSH…..vote for Senator McCain, don’t write anyone in, it will go to Osama…..
on August 15th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
Also, one last thing…the DNc knew Edwards had the affair, they planned the whole thing to take delegates away from Clinton and then let Edwards bow out and give his delegates to Clinton…and she hasn’t said a word about this..how many delegates did Edwards get and how many would have gone to Clinton, add those along with the Michigan and Florida delegates the DNc took from Clinton and what happens then…Guess it was just too close for the DNc to chance a woman getting the nomination…..
on August 15th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
Steady PUMAs,steady;this is where the game really begins. Pawns have been shifted;they’re attempting to eliminate the Queen. They want us to believe she’s done and are moving to divide our ranks. The fact they’ve had to engage her at all means they need her and her voters. Don’t take the bait;stay focused. We all have a role to play;no matter what the outcome we will eventually prevail.

I think all HRC supporters are on the same page. All the blogs I’m reading reject the “symbolic” trash being spouted by the DNC, including my own. As far as HRC is concerned, I say, if she can send us a “let’s all ride the unity pony together” email, we can send her an “uh-uh, stuff that noise Senator Clinton” email right back.
on August 15th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
onward through the fog? I just about blew diet coke out my nose. you folks are so dramatic here.
If Obama were some random white guy, I might give you a little leeway but just like Hillary, Obama was also a legitimate first. Jackson and Keyes didn’t stand a chance of winning their parties nominations. So just like there was mysoginy and sexism there was also racism (kentucky, w. virginia). But both HRC and Obama managed all time highs in votes received so nothing was stolen or manipulated from her. She lost, she mismanged. She did well once she realized the errors of her ways and went after the poor white people. Its her own fault she didn’t do it earlier. And she ran as a man instead of embracing her womanesness. She had her own folks on the rules committee and they went along with everything. Hillary had her own media team. She also get the blame for not setting the agenda instead of letting the press set their own.

We all love our zingers and snappy titles here, but can I ask people please to not call Obama “Osama”? I can’t stand the guy, and will probably continue to use sarcastic pet names for him that are based on how we perceive his actions. I believe zinging someone on his actions or the image he’s allowed to be cultivated on his behalf is fair game for snark. Calling him “Osama” strikes me as out of bounds and wy too close to the “he’s a closet Muslim” crap.

I agree about not calling names, why not just call him by his legal name, Barry Soetoro? Oops! I forgot that is another of those little nothings that the campaign doesn’t want disclosed. I loved it this morning when the author of Obama nation outed that piece of info. Corsi is going to be selling another book this weekend because of that. By the way T-bone, where I come from your name is what we call when a car runs head first into a tree or other immoveable object. Get a clue, Puma’s are the immoveable object, Obama will never get our support. He has shown a complete lack of ability to lead or even act maturely. This country does not need the playground bullies trying to pretend that they know how the real world works. Go ahead and revisit these sites after the election too, then you can hear us all say “We told you so”

just a suggestion - minx send your commentary directly to hillary at her info website - i think she needs just a little reminder.
I did a little reminding of my own this morning when I got her email about an invitation to the convention - I just told her that I had believed all of her statements since the beginning of her campaign and that there is no way in hell that I would be voting for Obama - that she had promised to lead us. Also, I do believe I willl be marching with the pumas in Denver - another Puma from Twin Cities area wants someone to share driving to Denver - can hardly wait to meet the rest of the pumas from all of the blogs at the “loft”.
on August 15th, 2008 at 6:25 pm
Guys, anybody sat and thought why thet are having Hiliary speak one night and then Bill another. They are going to play this little game until the last night of the convention and then nominate Obama. They are doing this to try an trick the PUMA’S and other protestor’s. They want everybody to be quiet and happy so the protestor’s do not upstage the convention and get more news than they do. Don’t fall for their scheming little plans. They are trying to shut us up. No matter what if not Hiliary then Mccain in 08.
on August 15th, 2008 at 7:19 pm
Dear T-Bone,
Obama may win the Nomination (God Forbid) but he will lose the election. And then where will you be? We, the Clinton and Obama Supporters want the same thing, A democrat in the White House in Nov, However, there is only one who will Win, and that is Clinton. She has been vetted, and tested, and proven her self on the world stage. He has not, and he WILL fail. I am not opining, I am stating a very good prediction, based in FACT. So continue to drink your kool-aid, and pray to the Obama shrine, but be prepared for November, It will be McCain if Clinton is not the nominee.
on August 15th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
I agree. Hillary we told you we would take it from here. We did….Tag…your it in Denver….Keep your promise to us, and we will bring you the White House.
on August 15th, 2008 at 8:25 pm
prplvette85, it’s so funny you said that. I wrote the same sentiment on my blog, but I told HRC to shove the unity smut ’cause we ain’t buyin’. I meant no disrespect, but everybody’s gotta know that when it comes down to it, supporting obama is not an option.
on August 15th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
Eyes on these people. as I said before, this could get ugly real quick. The Russian thinks we are just a “paper tiger” and rightly so because the liberals and our country man and women will not stand on the real issues that will affect the world as we know it today.
The incentive within this for the russian is to know how far they can push the united state and the Nato alliance, which at this point have done nothing, since they know we and the obama nation in europe don’t have the stomach for this.
If you need a reason why you shouldn’t vote for Obama. Ask this question, where is he now while the world is in turmoil?
That’s right, Hawaii? And if these issue becomes null, hopefully, he will re-appear with his rethoric just like he assume in Iraq. I don’t know how everyone feel about the current world event but, I fear for the worse.

hey dee if the pied piper is all power full & great like most like most of you obama;nits think
then why do most of your post look so desperate.?
on August 16th, 2008 at 8:03 pm
dee
actually the primaries and caucuses are really about electing delegates to the convention. That’s not how the media presents it but that’s what the rules say. The delegates then pick the nominee.
It’s sort of like how we make laws — we elect the legislators, congress, etc. and then they make the laws. The primaries/caucuses elect the delegates and then they pick the nominee.
on August 16th, 2008 at 8:09 pm

Dee,
looks like you got the “fair and square” memo circulated to O-bots. very impressive.
Putin (the leader of Russia, so you can circulate that information to fellow O-bots) would chew up Obama for lunch and spit him out. That’s the secret that the rest of the United States, including Clinton supporters, are aware of while O-bots remain blissfully ignorant. If you are going to continue to support O, then do yourself a favor and start constructing an air-raid shelter. You won’t have to worry any more about black vs. white; you’ll have to worry about nuked vs. non-nuked.

hey all did any of the HH girls tell a Mr Tommy Christopher that JSND is not intrested in LGBT issues and is only concerned with woman’s issues.
He is claiming at the confrence that someone high up the food chain in JSND and he know people higher up than I ever possibly could told him this and he has it sourced…
He has also sourced tha “hillary denounces puma on Hardball” the other night that shuster leveled at Will and Murphy.
Since I know all you and you and started the JSND part of the alliance with Puma I figure I know the highest sources is what he said true or is he twisting someones words that wer said at the confrence?
fuzzybeargville-dont worry I am not drinking koolaid
Also did an Andy Martin attend the confrence? Tommy os alleging he is an anti-semite some one educate me please! I need ammunition here.
on August 17th, 2008 at 1:26 am
Fuzzy, I Googled Andy Martin, came up with lots of stuff, like this from Media Matters:
Media Matters also noted that, according to a February 10, 2006 Chicago Tribune article, Martin “referred to a federal bankruptcy judge as a ‘crooked, slimy Jew, who has a history of lying and thieving common to members of his race,’” and expressed “understand[ing] for how the Holocaust took place.” Several news articles have reported that Martin’s Selective Service file described him as having a “moderately-severe character defect manifested by well documented ideation with a paranoid flavor and a grandiose character.”
http://mediamatters.org/items/200703290011
Also Martin has a website, Andy Martin Contrarian Commentary, with an article on PUMA conference.
Says he was there.

yes, andy martin was there. i had never heard of him before this conference.

She’s Coming Baaaaa-aack!!!
Just when you thought Hillary Clinton was either bound and gagged in Barack Obama’s political crawlspace or onboard the Messiah’s bandwagon, signs that the Clinton political blowtorch is lighting up and ready to burn the house down in Denver are beginning to surface. Here are ten signs of a possible floor fight:
1. No Deal: Days before the mainstream media picked up on a video of Hillary at a rally expressing her desire to be placed on the ballot for “healing purposes”, PUMA website Just Say No Deal already had it on the front page. Coincidence? Leak? Never underestimate the power of the Clintons. Previous stories had been circulating that Hillary did not want her name on the ballot. This video corrected the error.
2. Michigan: In a state Obama cannot afford to lose, much has been written these past few days concerning the ties between jailed Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and Rev. Jeremiah Wright. The timing is curious. Kilpatrick’s arrest has already been covered, but for the first time, a connection to Obama is mentioned. Apparently, some footage exists of Kilpatrick introducing Wright at a NAACP function. Racial tensions in Michigan are among the worst in the country right now and the only reason the mayor has yet to be removed from office is best explained through the words of a Detroit councilwoman: “We don’t want a white governor removing our black mayor.” How utterly post-racial. Would the Republicans stoop to use such footage against Obama this fall? Would Hillary? You’d better believe it.
3. Colorado: Recent articles have been hinting at a possible GOP plan of attack in the coming weeks: Affirmative Action to be exact. In another state the Obama campaign is hoping to capture this fall, a civil rights initiative is being placed on the ballot that would basically put an end to preferential treatment to minorities. McCain supports it (just as he supports the initiative on the Arizona ballot) while Obama is firmly against it. Prohibition against discrimination? Why, that’s racist! No conspiracy theories here, but Obama should have fun explaining to the folks in Colorado exactly why equality is such a “divisive” issue. More Hillary ammunition just now getting some MSM coverage. She’s jotting this down in her notebook now.
4. The Leaked Hillary Memos: Just as Obama is gathering national attention for stalling in the polls in the year of the Democrats, the Clinton campaign seems to have misplaced about 200 memos calling Obama unelectable “except against Attila the Hun”, and it just so happens that Andrew Sullivan of Atlantic Monthly has found them. Lucky for the campaign, the memos didn’t fall into the wrong hands… like the New York Times.
5. “I Am Not a Racist”: John McCain may have cracked open the door when he accused the Obama campaign of playing the Race Card every five minutes against any and all opposition, but Bill Clinton kicked it through the wall by verifying that he too was a victim. Doesn’t exactly sound like a party loyalist to me. Still bitter? Try pissed.
6. Howard Wolfson: Hillary’s faithful attack dog comes out of the woodwork with this quote in reference to the mainstream media suppressing the Edwards scandal: “I believe we would have won Iowa, and Clinton today would therefore have been the nominee,” former Clinton Communications Director Howard Wolfson told ABCNews. Now what was the point of making that comment? Has his final paycheck not cleared? Or is he still on the payroll? Hmm.
7. Edwards Scandal/MSM Backlash: This may not be directly damaging to Obama, but with voters slowly beginning to realize that the mainstream media has been withholding damaging evidence against preferred Democratic candidates, one might suspect that there are untapped stories about Obama as well. Considering that Raila Odinga and ethnic cleansing in Kenya has yet to be brought to national attention, their suspicions would be correct. Surely, both Hillary and McCain are aware of this by now.
8. Primetime Convention Speeches: Bill and Hillary have landed two of the hottest primetime spots of the convention. Now, I may be stretching a bit here, but didn’t Bill just accuse Obama of playing the Race Card on him? Why do I doubt either of the Clintons will be able to deliver anything remotely close to an ass-kissing session? Everytime either one of them speaks, I look for smoke signals in the background or for their eyes blinking a Morse code message to the PUMAs. Call me a conspiracy nut, but you might want to make some popcorn for this convention.
9. Foreign Conflict: It has been widely noted that any international crisis will inevitably help John McCain. We now have two: Iran and Georgia. So while the McCain campaign is hitting hard on the fact that Barack Obama is nothing more than an empty-headed celebrity, world crises are brewing. Could Hillary Clinton help save the Democrats? Delegates might be wondering that right about now.
10. Old Jewish Women: Three strikes! Those are three major thorns in Obama’s side. Put them all together and you have one fierce PUMA. My favorite person in this category is a lady I chat with several times a week at a local coffee shop. Her name is Miss Criss. Criss had a vision that Hillary Clinton would take the Oath of Office. “In 2013?” I ask. “No, in 2009.” she still insists. Miss Criss swears up and down that Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the United States. And who am I to doubt her? She reads palms and cures pain with the heat of her fingertips, too.
One thing is for certain: win or lose, come August 26th, Hillary Clinton will be ready to pounce. All the signs are there.

“She lost,”
the FACTS are that this is not true. BHO does not have a significant number of pledged delegates to win the nomination. If he did, the statement would be correct. He does not. The statement is false.
on August 18th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
Hello:
I am inclined to agree with “Caligirl” The Clintons don’t like to lose. Hillary is just playing the game. She said she would support Obama at the Denver Convention. She said she would hand over her delegates. You PUMAs need to have more confidence. Hillary is just playing the game. If, when the “roll call” is finished and it ends up that Hillary has won , she saves face with Obama as she has gone along with him and the rules of the DNC, but then she throws up her hands and says, “its the will of the people”, like she is an innocent bystander. That’s the Bait and Switch in a nutshell. I truly believe that is Hillary’s and Bill’s plan.
We need to make the delegates feel guilty that they are accepting bribes (money) from obama’s campaign to sway the vote. America has always been about the almighty dollar,
but they need to take a long hard look at the state of this nation and where it is going and do the right thing and support Hillary.
If the “roll call” comes out that Hillary wins and she is the nominee for November. It is what she wants, I truly believe that. She knows how hard all of you have worked, and donated money to her, do you think she is going to take that lightly. I don’t think so. She is in for long haul.
If this was to happen, it would be the biggest thing ever in American politics and the thought of it just makes my heart race.

I hope I get to say “I told you so”…..:))

People, Don’t underestimate the Clintons and her supporters. Its important to play along if you are a true Democrat. She is and is not about to bring down a fellow sitting Dem Senator. She will fight for what is right though. The DNC has made a mess of the party and it will take a true Democratic Prgressive to restore the party after this fiasco. Obama cannot win. If the “paid off” Supers insist that money is more important than Country, so be it. We’ll see them at the ballot box. Hillary is not behind because of the voters. She is behind because of the Causus shenanigans. She’s not out yet. She IS the smartest person in the room.

Oy, seems we’ve gotten completely away from the OP. Now, why is that? Is there a good reason (t-bone, esp) that some of us cannot stay on topic and respond accordingly?
I loved this post when I first read it; reminded me of Molly Ivins, whom I, as a fellow Austinite, have missed since she left us..
Now, what did I do with the post here? I took parts and I put them into an email which I sent to Bill AND to Hillary and cc’d to Dean, Pelosi, and a few other irritating “muckity mucks” in the DNC. Hopefully, though I prolly will not be holding my breath for it, this roll-call will not be just a “show” or “display” of unity.. We are not going to fall for Bams pulling the wool over our eyes with some sort of fake showing.. we did NOT drink the kool-aid.
Bambi is not the preferred candidate; HIS people are defecting to Hillary or even to (gasp) McCain. Hillary’s supporters are not going anywhere– we’re still supporting her.
So, t-bone, PUHleeze– get over it…

For all of you HC supporters, when you go to the polls if you go, and Mcnasty wins and you get 4 more year like the prior 8 years went, don’t you dare complain. When Mcnasty bring back the draft and take the love of your life and send him to war, don’t you dare complain, when your princess (god forbid this never happens) come home and say that a man rapped me and I am pregnant and I don’t want the baby, what are you going to do now….oh no you can’t get her an abortion, it is against the law, then you will have to take her to a back room down the alley to get a illegal abortion, don’t you complain….so go ahead and follow these prejurdice group, but remember you better not complain!

If you vote Senator Obama for your Presidential candidate, no matter who he picks for V.P. I will never vote for him. The separation of church and state is in the constitution. Beyond a belief in G-d or not, religion has no business in politics. Mr. Obama sat in the same pew as a racist for over twenty years and raised his children in that church. He only changed churches when he became a candidate. He also declared Jesus Christ as his savior in an election speech. This white, Jewish woman will never vote for him. I am a lifelong democrat, who believes in the principles of the Democratic party. You have lost myself, and my other family members as voters. You can stop it now by electing Hillary Clinton. Please do not make a mistake and elect John McCain by keeping Barak Obama as the democratic presidential candidate.

I called Senator Clinton in Dec. of 06 and left a voice mail asking her to be Madam President. But who am I just an old Iowa boy who likes to think she did me the honor of running on my behalf as well as America’s.I supported her husband and,I will go to hell supporting her.I will never vote for Osama Bin Obama.I would write in her name but I need to find out if it would count that way in Iowa?
Thank You

PUMA PAC DEMOCRAT Mid-West
on August 25th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
the pumas are totally justified …
1. contrary to what obamabots say …
obama and hillary were in a dead heat,
when the dnc pressured hillary into not
only conceding, but campaigning for obama.
2. obama is once again in a dead heat, but now
with mccain, even though obamabots act like
obama has already won (like they did in the
primaries against hillary). so, this means that
half of the democrats, and all the republicans
(3/4 of america) didn’t want obama. plus, he
didn’t even win the popular vote, and refused a
revote in michigan and florida.
3. obama has the thinnest resume in politics, and
he won state legislature and senator by
disqualifications of his opponents, not by earned
experience, or votes.
4. obama’s one claim to fame is being a community
organizer, where he boasts of registering voters.
then he took their votes away from them, by
disqualifying his opponents on technicalities, prior
to the election.
5. obama’s mentor of 20 years, was an anti-american
racist … not to mention other unsavory associations.
6. obama is simply buying the election, since he’s
good at fund raising … hardly a qualification to be
president of the united states.
7. the media never vetted obama, and they are
giving him a free ride, plus more than twice the
print and air time as mccain, as they did against
hillary.
8. 90% of blacks are voting for obama, because he is
black, while the campaign gained ground by
accusing most opponents of racism.
9. obamabots were, and are extremely nasty and sarcastic
towards hillary supporters, as well as mccain supporters.
10. pumas should be applauded for putting country before party …
especially a party that did not represent them, and a party
which highjacked the nomination for obama.
11. obama added insult to injury, when he didn’t even consider
hillary for v.p. … nor did he even call her … even though she
got 18 million votes in the primary.
12. obama and the dnc are now holding a gun to the heads of
hillary and bill clinton, giving them an ultimatum … either support
obama, or kiss your future in the dnc and politics goodbye.
p.s. michelle obama subjected her two young children to anti-american racists … jeremiah wright, farrakahn, pfleiger, and others
at the black liberation trinity church in chicago, for several years. is this who you want for first lady … i don’t think so !!
on August 25th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
Something crossed my mind today when the convention speakers started being called to stage. Pelosi. Think about it. She broke the glass ceiling that put her 2 beats away from the Presidency without the imposition of an election. She’s done a horrible job, and represents the democratic party in such an embarrassing way. I think she’s greatly to blame.
The old boys club in DC don’t want 2 women, and 1 man in that SOU frame for the next four years. Pelosi was such a let down, she has set women’s rights back 4 decades.
So, the DNC picked a guy they thought looked so different and promising (afterall, he sure got rave reviews after the 2004 convention speech), they could guarantee that second woman wouldn’t show up in the #1 spot and round out the team at the top with a 2-1 margin.
on August 25th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
This is so much more about the DNC than it is about Obama. He’s unqualified and has a huge list of negatives, but it was the DNC that gamed the primary.
Any other year and the party convention would need this roll call vote to determine the nominee. Not this year. They are calling it a formality to show unity. Neither candidate achieved the winning level of delegates, and the SDs never voted.
I will not support Obama because he is the DNC’s tool to break the democracy in this country.
on August 25th, 2008 at 11:24 pm
gina i would love to debate u on everything u said prior to javacity comments. and i wouldn’t even go there about michelle obama with the shyt cindy mccain has done?? she’s nothing but an elitist, lying, cheating, drug addicted, home-wrecker.

throughout the campaign “o bum a ” treated hillary in a sexist way, and got away with it because of the sexist media! by allowing him to continue this offense, hundreds of millions of women and tens of millions of men are insulted too! A Third party founded by senator clinton is a very easy solution. Thanks!
on August 27th, 2008 at 10:51 am
Hillary Clinton deserves to be president, and I hope she will be. Now is not her time. Maybe she will be needed at a more important time. There is no reason to have sour grapes about it.-nasty things have been said and done in all campaigns.
I do not want JOHN MCCAIN choosing the next members of the supreme court. Nor does Hillary. Not voting for Obama has the same effect as electing McCain. Please understand that your indignation and petty feelings about this will hurt the cause, the country, and the world.
Please rise above it, as Hillary has.
on August 27th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
I hear that there will be a full vote on delegates today. Seems they already have the count of votes from yesterday. Obama probably got the most votes, so now the DEMS feel safe to let the role call go all the way.
on August 27th, 2008 at 2:51 pm
So you think there is sexism but no racism in this country? Way to look more than one inch past your bust line.

I am just an everyday schmoe from Miami and I will tell you all what I am gonna’ do. I am gonna’ write in my Candidate. Neither the freakin’ Democratic Party (I still belong to it by a very stretched silver thread for now) nor the freakin’ Republican Party are gonna’ tell me who to vote for. I am writing in Hillary Clinton and let God Sort ‘em out. I don’t care what anyone thinks; and, at this point, I don’t care who wins either.
on August 29th, 2008 at 3:19 am
I really feel sorry for all of you hateful undercover racist. If you would take of your “hoods” I could debate you intelligently but instead you hide behind your supposed love of hillary and Obamas supposed lack of long term experience in Washington when you know thats really not the truth. If he was a white man or woman that beat out Hillary I doubt you would protest as much. I guess somethings never change cause the racial undertones and charactures I have seen on this website are hurtful to me as an american and I imagine to any African American. And the ones you supposedly seem to have on your side are so beat down by the system they suffer from a house slave mentality so convinced a black man could never win they just choose to fall in line with you crazy schemes. And I am convinced 100% that you all claiming to be democrats are really undercover republicans that are hoping to divide and conquer the democratic party. I mean your girl Hillary even stopped the roll call and called for his nomination by affirmation what more proof do you need of how idiotic this seems? And I am putting you guys on notice I am forwarding all your tactics to my blog groups and some of them have let me know they now you guys are republicans. I give it to you how better to topple the democratic party than to divide them up create false conflict and then offer to vote republican? You guys are a work of art. But you still need the Black vote NO MATTER WHO YOUR CANDIDATE MAY BE. And according to 2.5 million bloggers they will not support anyone PUMA supports. Just passing the word to you. Oh have you seen the bump in the polls today? Sweet!!!
on August 29th, 2008 at 3:25 am
And for any woman who wants the right to determine what happens to her body ,if she has to carry and keep a child father by rape or even by ignorance of birth control methods or even what kind of birth control she is allowed to have remember there are 3 supreme court justice spots coming up and John McCain has stated he will appoint conservative judges moreover judges who are pro life supporters. All he needs is a majority vote in the Supreme Court and its back to the middle ages for all you gals!
on August 29th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
I’m sorry but the Democratic Party did a pretty good job of dividing itself, without any help from me, when they decided that they would just ignore what the women, who make up most of the stupid party wanted. Now, if that is not “genderism” or better yet “sexism” than you are too blind to talk to. You only see brown/black, nothing else. If you are a woman, which comes first; your sex or your color? Kind of like the “chicken & the Egg”, isn’t it?
If you look back through history at the sexism you will see that not that much in this country has changed, really. Just that we supposedly have the right to vote……but, we must vote for a man even if we, who are the majority of the Party want a female candidate. To top it off, I live in Florida, and I am not going to just “get over” this!
Now, the Republican Party has actually
decided to be more progressive by picking a woman for VP. I used to belong to that party years ago, until “Tricky Dick” happened on the scene; but this ticks me off even more
than Tricky Dick. I wonder if George Washington was the “Lesser of Two
Evils”, too!
on August 31st, 2008 at 2:05 pm
I wish I could talk to you guys behind this site but I now it would be futile. Look, it’s crazy to suggest that a black man stole an election from a woman when he won the most states and had the most delegate votes. What scares me most about your group is that you profess to be so much for womens’s rightsthat you would undermine your own rights to prove a point. Well go ahead. Do it. It’s your lost. Vote for McCain-Palin but I assure you it won’t be us complaining about roe v. wade being overturned, the equal pay act never getting passed and many other things that harm women. Instead of using your anger in a destructive way, why not use it for something good. We all have disappointments. If Obama had lost, black americans would be sad but you wouldn’t see us lining up for McCain. What disturbs me more than anything is you are continuning to allow the Republicans to pit the hopes of black americans against those of white women and let us fight it out like we’re animals. But after all, you guys are the PUMAS, correct? When you want to talk reasonably do email me. I understand your pain as a black american woman but your behavior is not the right answer. Here’s to hoping I’ve gotten through to you.
on September 2nd, 2008 at 2:38 pm
I am sick of the threats and bullying by Obama supporters. If you had any good reasons why we should vote for him you wouldn’t have to resort to these tactics.
It took 30 seconds for newscasters who didn’t know much about Palin to find a whole list of her government reform accomplishments. How about that?
I want the Obamabots to actually list some of his accomplishments. Every time people are asked what he has done or what he will do, the only thing people seem able to come up with is that he wants change.
what does he really believe in?? It is very elusive and seems to change every day. No clear plan is ever given so he can never be accountable - all smoke and mirrors.
I know I wouldn’t call someone my spiritual mentor and sit in his church for 20 years if I didn’t believe in it. He shows what a stand up guy he isn’t because as soon as there was a little pressure, he threw his 20 year mentor under the bus. If he can do that to his 20 year mentor, what would he do to us ordinary people?
Do the Obamabots, followers of the one, really think it helps their cause by making fun of Alaska being like a small town (and aren’t those a bunch of dummies), that Palin is a woman and should be home with her kids, making fun of her teenage daughter who is pregnant and making up stories about her special needs child? I think that it is just going to drive people more and more towards the republican ticket. I can’t even stand to watch Chris Matthews and the rest of the MSNBC crew who have tingles running down their legs for Obama - gross - journalism has been corrupted and may never be legitimate again.
on September 3rd, 2008 at 1:37 pm
Sexism obviously continues to be the strategy of the Obama campaign. The new tactic is to use women to make the sexist comments this time around. Since the big backlash when men did it to Hillary, they think having women do it to Hillary will be okay. Well, news to them, I find this even more offensive.
Sally Quinn, Soledad O’Brien and Campbell Brown are some of the female TV personalities sent out by Obama to ruthlessly attack Palin. I can’t believe it is 2008 when I hear comments that she is a bad mother or incapable of doing the job because she has children. These women have children themselves so maybe they should be fired for it. What about Pelosi who has 5 kids too - I never heard them trying to force her out of office because of it.
Don’t be fooled into believing Obama’s hands are clean and that he is not involved in these attacks. Remember nothing is beyond acceptability in the corrupt chicago political machine that is supporting him.
