this floridian-turned-puma says “no deal” to opportunist-in-chief

Posted on August 4th, 2008 in Piper in Pucci by hireheels

The One has graciously asked the DNC Credentials Committee to reinstate the delegations of Florida and Michigan and restore their voting power in full:
“As we prepare to come together in Denver, however, we must be — and will be — united in our determination to change the course of our nation. To that end, Democrats in Florida and Michigan must know that they are full partners and colleagues in our historic mission to reshape Washington and lead our country in a new direction. Accordingly, I ask that the credentials committee… pass a resolution that would entitle each delegate from Florida and Michigan to cast a full vote.”piper_in_pucci_byline
Thanks Barack! How generous of you to allow us wayward voters back under the big tent just in time to witness the circus and spectacle of your coronation! I’m so glad that we can be considered “full partners and colleagues” now that the primaries are over and you have nothing to lose from our votes being counted. You are the very embodiment of voter rights and political courage!

Hey Barry, you know when a statement like this would have been helpful? During the primary season when it still mattered. Or on May 31 at the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee hearing where you DissNFrancised millions of people. Just sayin’.

Seriously, Senator Sweetie, if you didn’t want our votes while they were still meaningful, and, you know, could actually affect the outcome of the race, why should you expect that we give them to you now?

You shouldn’t.

You allowed us to be shut out of our party’s nominating process simply because the results weren’t in your favor.

You could have held revotes to make us whole.

You could have allowed the RBC to recognize the primary results and grant the delegates full voting power back in May.

You did neither. Instead, you did what was politically expedient and were rewarded for it by getting votes and delegates that you didn’t earn.

Thanks, but no thanks. This Floridian says NO DEAL, and she has a suggestion on where you should stick that olive branch.

pumas in miami are just as disgusted piper….obama and his wife have been villa-storming the state trying to purchase votes…the peeps i talk to see right through it….i still say florida is going gop again….that’s just crazy - but hey, what do expect when you screw an entire state ….. he must think floridians are part of that ‘low information voter bloc’….

Please don’t forget that Obama and his thugs hand picked everyone of those MI and FL delegates that he now wants to give full votes. They had the opportunity to do that after they awarded them 1/2 votes each because the votes were up in the air and they hadn’t voted on the delegates yet.

Obama isn’t doing this just because he has the nomination wrapped up. He doesn’t. He is doing it because he has FL and MI delegates hand picked to vote for him. He needs them at full votes now. Obama is “the one” son of a bitch alright.

How magnanimous of him. *cough* Thanks for the giggle about the olive branch.

I’m quite certain there are enough delegates highly motivated enough to demand via petition that Hillary’s name be placed in nomination. I’ve been listening to clips of her responding to such questions and I’ve noticed how very careful she is (like the pro we know her to be). She has said nothing to cast aspersions on Obama, but she has not used language that would shut the door on her nomination–and she’s done it in a way that can’t be attacked as anti-Obama or disloyal to her party. I may have to keep a file of her responses on this subject as a doctoral-level class on politicking.

Party unity Obama should have thought about when it was the fair and just thing to do in May not now. During the fiasco I heard a commentator say Obama should just agree to let their votes count and then they will all fall in line behind him and he will still win the nomination. I wondered how long it was going to take him. we supporters have to make sure Hillary signed that petition to put her name in nomination. We must also keep getting the word out that she is the candidate that can win in November. The DNC must keep hearing from us that we are not going to fall in line and support a candidate who is not qualified lacks both experience and accomplishments. The biased media is a disgrace if it were not for Fox news none of this would get out.

Showing Brittney and Paris, that was clever too; must be very powerful because Obama’s people are still upset over it. fwc2 - these are jokes I received from old friends and relatives daily. Here’s one for ya.

    Subject: INSTALLING A HUSBAND

    Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I’ve tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

    Signed,
    Desperate.

    DEAR DESPERATE,

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and don’t forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.
Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.) Also do not attempt to reinstall Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0. In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve the memory and performance of your Husband 1.0. We recommend Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

    Good Luck,
    Tech Support

hi piper! I think this announcement of bo to seat at full vote was also strategically timed for his very first visit evah here to lansing, mi on the 4th. gov granholm and mayor bernero (latino mayor), along with most party honchos based in our state capitol, are all hillary supporters. he had to do something to make sure he didn’t get confronted, questioned, or embarrassed over the may 31st travesty and death of democracy & our party when they gave him unearned MI delegates and stole 4 from hillary.

I noticed they kept tight controls on how many could attend, which didn’t happen when he came to grand rapids (republican stronghold) or detroit (goes without saying). It was held at the huge lansing center on the grand river, our largest convention center in lansing which holds thousands, yet they limited it to only 1000 tickets. why? for a first visit? why?

I also noticed a lansing state journal report on the *time to bamboozle lansing citizens I fucked over* affair had some stats scrubbed. I took a screenshot of a google intro stating them, but can no longer be found on the linked page. even though they did have tight controls that blabbermouth reporter that missed the memo was making it look like a very poor enemic showing. can’t have that!

they also published a transcript of his remarks, provided by his campaign of course. they left out his freudian slip that made my head swivel. they claim he said: “It will take nothing less than a complete transformation of our economy. This transformation will be costly, and given the fiscal disaster we will inherit from the last Administration, it will likely require us to defer some other priorities.”

what he actually said was: “the fiscal disaster we will inherit from the *next generation*…er ..uh… last administration…” , before he corrected himself. I’d say he let slip his economic advisor’s real plans of scorched earth policies to bankrupt everybody.

therefore it was a no brainer last night during the blogtalkradio chat to let the crowd know I’ve made a minor adjustment on my mi puma blog I’m working on building.

i’m a pumma: party unity my michigan ass

“Good,” said the captain, “you pray while the rest of us put on our life jackets - we’re one short.”

They could have done the prayer long ago rather than relying in money well spent on the delegates. Pity how people are so misguided in their faith.

Shez: he said, “the fiscal disaster we will inherit from the *next generation*…er ..uh… last administration…” ??? What is he talking about. Why can’t he answer a question if it’s not all set out for him?

He can’t handle the economy. He is in no way prepared to inherit, let alone fix the Bush Admn. We need Hillary.

There is no doubt that Germans love Barak Obama. Most other Europeans do as well. That is likely why Obama will head to Switzerland for a fund raiser sponsored by fellow mega-celebrity George Clooney. Narcissists need a regular shot of adoration. This likely will fill the bill.

WTF….he is going back to europe to do what! *roll eyes* This is so unamerican….and rather embarrassing to smooch on other countries that could careless of what we think here at home. Is there anything more to be said about our values and principles being destroyed by this man….how unethical and insulting.

We rarely get a chance to see another country’s editorial about the USA .

    Read this excerpt from a Romanian Newspaper. The article was written by Mr. Cornel Nistorescu and published under the title “C”ntarea Americii, meaning “Ode To America “) in the Romanian newspaper Evenimentulzilei “The Daily Event” or “News of the Day” & nbsp;

    ~An Ode to America ~

Why are Americans so united? They would not resemble one another even if you painted them all one color! They speak all the languages of the world and form an astonishing mixture of civilizations and religious beliefs.

Still, the American tragedy turned three hundred million people into a hand put on the heart.
Nobody rushed to accuse the White House, the Army, or the Secret Service that they are only a bunch of losers.
Nobody rushed to empty their bank accounts.
Nobody rushed out onto the streets nearby to gape about.
Instead the Americans volunteered to donate blood and to give a helping hand.

After the first moments of panic, they raised their flag over the smoking ruins, putting on T-shirts, caps and ties in the colors of the national flag. They placed flags on buildings and cars as if in every place and on every car a government official or the president was passing. On every occasion, they started singing:”God Bless America !”

I watched the live broadcast and rerun after rerun for hours listening to the story of the guy who went down one hundred floors with a woman in a wheelchair without knowing who she was, or of the Californian hockey player, who gave his life fighting with the terrorists and prevented the plane from hitting a target that could have killed other hundreds or thousands of people.

How on earth were they able to respond united as one human being? Imperceptibly, with every word and musical note, the memory of some turned into a modern myth of tragic heroes. And with every phone call, millions and millions of dollars were put into a collection aimed at rewarding not a man or a family, but a spirit, which no money can buy.

What on earth can unite the Americans in such a way?
Their land? Their history? Their economic Power? Money?
I tried for hours to find an answer, humming songs and murmuring phrases with the risk of sounding commonplace, I thought things over, I reached but only one conclusion… Only freedom can work such miracles.

    Cornel Nistorescu

(This deserves to be passed around the internet forever.) It took a person on the outside - looking in - to see what we take for granted ! GOD BLESS AMERICA ! !

    Please…..nobama!

“Clinton is also annoyed that Obama has yet to deliver on his end of an informal bargain, reached as part of their truce, that each would raise $500,000 for the other. “Hillary has done her part in that regard,” says an adviser. “Obama has not.”

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Congresswoman and SD Florida. She needs fax letter or a phone call today. She doesn’t have e-mail. Read the article about how she responded to Senator Clinton and you’ll know why. These women have NO backbone. How can they turn like that so quickly? - - support Obama, support Obama. Why are they not as outraged as we are? I swear…they are like the Stepford Wives.

    Dear HireHeels,
Seriously, I’m a 61 years young life long feminist, democrat all my life. And you women are willing to shoot our party in the foot, and vote for John McBushCain. Get over it already!! I was for Hillary since her first days in the White House. But NO WAY would I vote for a republican just because Hill didn’t win. You guys all need to go and sit in the corner. DON’T BLOW IT!! It makes us look stupid and the RNC is literally licking their chops and salivating over your stupidity!!

Hey Hireheels, Get serious girls. You’re willing to shoot our party in the foot just because Hillary didn’t win. And your willing to vote for JohnMcBushCain. Please. I’ve been a Hillary girl since her first days in the White House. I’ve been a lifelong feminist and democrat, and I would NEVER vote for a republican just because I’m mad at my party. Get real girls!!! It borders on insanity what you are trying to do. Elect Obama even if you have to hold your noses. There is too much at stake here, considering the Supreme Court Justices that will be retiring. Now is not the time to be BLUE but to VOTE BLUE!!! A California pragmatist.

Obama is no different than Mccain. So why vote for Obama since he screwed Hillary? I would rather vote for Mccain because atleast Hillary gets another chance in 4 years!!

I’ve been searching for slapped down sisters for months. Today, on CNN of all places, I saw the hireheels logo, and heard mention of some women who were for Hillary going for McCain.
I seldom turn on msm (thanks for the abbrv.) since the abomination of what they called coverage of the dem primary, but every now and then, I just like to check in.
I’m a registered republican, but liked Bill Clinton’s actions as president, especially his welfare reform. I live in a racially diverse small ny city and we couldn’t even shop in our local grocery store for the long lines of people cashing their welfare checks. After welfare reform, they just went away! I guess it’s not as profitable to have twelve kids as it used to be,huh?

Anyway, when the gop and the press got a hold of monica (I still curse the name of (if I could remember her name) that witch who brought the affair to the gop. So the gop and msm literally crucify not only bill but hillary and chelsey while they were at it. Then tried to impeach him for having extramarital sex. Oral sex. The two words “oral sex” was mentioned so often, not only on the news shows which I could avoid while my 7 year old was watching, but constantly in news teasers all day, every day. I was just grateful that my girl was too young to even ask about it. I pitied the parents who had 11 and 12 year olds who at least knew sex was something they were not supposed to hear about.

Ok, so now, I’m voting for Gore, well you know that story. I think its poetic justice that Florida may be “the chosen one’s” undoing.

I wish Hillary would be McCains Running Mate!!!!! I’d love to see her run as an independent, or how about a Women’s Party? We girls know how to party.

oh, by the way, i supported hillary
    1. because i’m against affirmative action in the white house
    2. because the smug one is too inexperienced
    3. because i don’t like his super left agenda
    4. because i think we’ll be seeing another government give
away to anyone who would rather scam than cram
    5. because knowing how to deliver a speach ain’t enough
deliver a baby, deliver a pizza, deliver a couple of years
of voting in congress so we know what the hell you stand

You are not as powerful as you think. I am just reading the virtiole in these pages and the hatred along with the sad attempt to make this all about you. Now hear this. As a mother who has a son in Iraq and another one who lost a limb in Iraq I am livid that you woman think it is okay to put yourselves first. So, get over it already. I love Hillary too and am disappointed but I don’t want John McCain to murder my kid and any other kids. I want my boy home from this horrific war and I want an end to all wars. There are much bigger issues than your feminine egos and yes, I’m an avid feminist and have been probably before some of you were out of diapers. There is no excuse to allow the Republicans to stay in power. If you want to help this world, really help it., support the candidate who will end the fuckin war.
