Why hireheels Won’t Back Obama: He’s Just Another Bad Boy

Posted on June 4th, 2008 in Sista Christian Louboutin by hireheels

Remember that cocktail reception that you went to last fall? The one where you met that really hot guy? The one who went to all the right schools, had all the right connections, the one that you could hardly believe was talking to you!?! But incredulously he was… Wow, thought you— “WHAT A CATCH!” He was smooth as silk, elegantly dressed; he knew all the right things to say— and he said them with perfect syntax!!! When he asked for your biz card, you almost fell off your Manolos as you fumbled through your purse trying to find one without make-up smudges on it… “OMG,” said you, as you told your girlfriend the next day, “I have a really great date on Saturday with this incredible guy, I just hope that I didn’t have a piece of lettuce stuck in my teeth; I couldn’t stop smiling. It was such a connection… WOW…”sistachristian_byline

Well Saturday night came, you strapped on those hot new Louboutin sandals that you forwent 3.5 months of lunches (and many dinners) to afford… you made it to the that new “IT” place (how in the name of Hell was he was able to get a reservation) just on time to run to the Ladies’ to touch up your lipstick. You made your best entrance into the bar area (no lettuce in your teeth to be sure), but no dude. You waited for an hour… checking your mobile every few minutes, maybe he’s tied up… After your third Cosmo, you finally admitted the worst. He’s a NO show— you’re stood up. This smooth-as-silk guy was a gorgeously shiny package with all the righteously right rhetoric. Sadly, this beautifully appointed Bad Boy just didn’t have the substance or the soul to back it all up.

Sista and Princess say, “Barack Obama we’re bored with Bad Boys here… We want a GOOD Man! Maybe it’s time to go on a date with John McCain…”Or perhaps we should just blow off our Bad Boys and Gold Ol’ ones too and stick with the much BETTER Woman. We could throw a real whoop of a party. How does DISSing the backroom men altogether sound Senator Clinton? I’m sure Independents serve fab Cosmo’s too!!

“HILLARY ON TOP!” says HH.com! You just let the 18 mill of us know and we’ll raise that bar (and then some).

Of course, you realize that we’re about to be branded heretics and burned at the stake for daring to suggest that the Precious isn’t all that and a bag of chips. That’s what they do to us uppity broads, you know.

Unless we show ‘em how utterly, hopelessly screwed they are without us.

I’m just a “typical” white woman, who was called “sweetie” before Barrack was born, and grateingly endured that kind of dismissive attitude for many years of my life. But our fight for ERA in the ’70′s, in spite of the fact that we were not able to get it ratified, enabled us, we thought we would by now have had a Woman leader.

I’m also a Florida voter. Thanks for all you have done for those of us who can do so little. My heart breaks for the way the media has dismissed Sen Clinton; if she, with her long history and unique experience is denied the nomination, and had votes stolen by the Democratic Party, how many decades before any other woman will be deemed “qualified”?

I guess that can be answered with history: How many decades did the black man have the right to vote before it was given to women? This must be the way Susan Anthony felt.

I so hope Senator Clinton will not give up; will take it to the convention, or start a woman’s party. There are millions of women in both the Democratic and Republican party who WILL vote for her in November, no matter what party she is in. But legions of those women will vote John McCain before they do Barrack. Not because he is black, but because he simply is not qualified, and his baggage is too glaring.

Its too much like losing the promotions we were qualified for, to that new young man that we had to train and make coffee for. Maybe if we had ever been able to get the ERA ratified……….it wasn’t from lack of trying.
If you have any input to Hillary, please urge her not to work for Barrack; have Bill feign illness and go on a long vacation! As much as we respect her, we will NOT vote for Barrack.

Thanks again for all you have done.

im definitley voting for McCain. my choices were originaly 1.Hillary
    2.McCain
    3.Guliani
then mabe edwards, richardson, and if he decided to do what he did in chicago and make himself the only one on the ballot then id write in Hillary. Why do some people think that we are either voting Hillary or obama. like “your a woman do what your told and vote obama” “well, since you’ve been telling me all along about how since i am a woman like Hillary i am almost completly worthless. you probably dont need my vote then…”

UPLIFTING and INSPIRING speaches to there country??…HITLER, yeah Hitler was a great speaker. also, evil corrupt racist discusting horrible and probably the worst leader ever. but you know what he gave to his people…HOPE. he pretty much came out of nowhere and came to the top by giving speaches to people who were in despiration and needed hope. fortunitly we learned from that and only give people power with experience, a strong record and who we know well enough who they are to put them in charge as commander in cheif….oh wait……god damn it.

We could all truly network fast and furiously to guarantee all 18M of us vote a write-in for Hillary as our new Gaia party’s First President. But since she’s been through enough hell from the psychotic misogyny that is thick and wicked in this dumbass country, and we don’t want to endanger her or subject her to anymore crazy American woman-hating sociopathic personalities–like KeithO, et al, then perhaps we should take this time of ungodly brutality against The Feminine, and just bail this psycho toilet of fascists and fanatics and let’s buy a big Island, establish a Matriarchy, make Hillary Queen, and move the 18M of us who love the Clintons and want Hillary to lead us into a future of peace and prosperity. Call the Island Clintonia. Or, Maybe we could figure out how to resurrect an Amazon tribe and have them ride the country and take out the misogynists–drag them all off to the Cheney-built ‘domestic terrorism’ private prisons. With Queen Hillary running our Gaia Party, we will pass the law against any form of misogyny, severe punishment leveled, no mercy, no butter!!

It was regarded as a great idea. This is the opportune time a 3rd party in our Politics. She garnered enough support and the most votes than any other politician in history. Kiss off the Democratic Party the way the Dems kissed off Hillary’s campaign.

Howard tried to ask me for money, and here is what I worte in response:

That is not the only shockwave you have caused. Treating Hillary Clinton and her supporters like second class citizens sent a major shockwave through the Democratic Party as well. You have lost me Howard. The way you gave the delegates from Michigan to Obama when he was not even on the ballot, and then pulled some won by HRC tells me everything I need to know. I feel I have no choice but to vote for McCain, because at least I know he is a true Patriot, and that he does love this country.

Obama can take all of his buddies, Reverend Wright, Rezko,Father Pfleger, and William Ayers, and get the heck out of here. HE WILL NEVER WIN THE WHITE HOUSE.
    Sincerely,
    Glynis McCants
A Democrat for McCain Thanks to you

Here is the reason I won’t vote for Obama: because voting for Obama only condones both the DNC and the media’s blatant abuse and manipulation. To throw my vote to the “winning” democratic nominee means that I give them permission to choose whomever the heck they feel like while pretending I have a say in the process. Don’t play me for a fool. If we truly have a democracy then I vote to change things I do not believe in. I do not believe this had equal representation in any way shape or form. If I want change I must not fall in line. Women have been asked to fall in line throughout history. Lets make history – WE will be the change we want to see in our country this year. That change is not supporting the anointed DNC nominee.

Major Garrett of Fox is reporting that the DNC is instructing how Hillary has to end her campaign, what to say, and threatening that she better be convincing. Of course he doesn’t say it in those exact words, but that is what he means. She is going to be watched on Saturday. In PA, Obama had his photo on bus shelters. One of the newspapers wrote an article, pointing out the similarity between that photo and “Big Brother”. Sounds like Big Brother is moving in fast and rapid. Watching what and how she will endorse Obama. Unbelievable.

Yesterday, another blog posted info about a new poll re Hillary’s strength in Appalachia. The question to readers was: Do you think Hillary on the ticket would help solve Obama’s Appalachia problem?

    Here was my answer:

What do these 11 states with 116 Electoral Votes have in common?

    Arizona
    Arkansas
    Florida
    Kentucky
    New Hampshire
    Ohio
    Tennessee
    West Virginia
    Nevada
    Louisiana
    Missouri

Answer: Bill Clinton carried all of them in 1996 … and they went Republican in both 2000 and 2004… AND,

… Hillary won 9 of the 11 – 82% – in these Dem Primary elections and only lost Missouri by 1.4% (11,000 of 802,000 total votes) but she won 110 out of the 115 counties. And, recent polls showed Clinton leading McCain in Missouri.

She won the first 9 states listed. Her margin of victory, 1,160,449 votes out of 6.3 million cast… a whopping 18.5%. Those states represent 96 Electoral votes.

Of them, truly Arizona is the only one off the table in the General – because it’s McCain’s home state – and as an Arizonan, I know McCain is popular here and will hold AZ.

However, those other 8 states she won hold 86 EV – a full 32% of the 270 needed to win back the Whitehouse.

So, can Hillary help Obama in Appalachia? Yes, and in many other states too.

But as I’ve said: He’s the Presumptive Nominee and thereby should be able to stand and deliver on his own strength and merits!

Oh, wait a minute: he won based on a highly disproportional pledged delegate allocation in states using a voting system that filters-out or completely locks-out nearly 1.9 million would-be voters … in the 13 states that gave him the winning buffer of nearly 300,000 votes and 152 pledged delegates.

He won through the caucus system. Those states that can help you rack up a lot of delegates based on very low turnout and votes… but alas only have 74 total Electoral Votes.

Oh, and he won in 80% of the deepest-Red states that Democrats haven’t won since 1964 to 1976. Yep, 22 of his 30 states-won were Red states or caucus states!

It’s finally time for some truth-telling and medicine-swallowing:

Obama based his strategy on winning the Dem nomination – NOT on keeping his eye on the ultimate prize, the Whitehouse … like Hillary had the wisdom to do!

NOW, his near-sighted strategy is going to haunt him.

So: Let that guy iron his own shirts!!!

    Boy, payback’s a bitch – no strike that – payback’s a barack isn’t it?

    speaking only for me.

this grass roots action was put together by lamusing and shtuey

    all hands on deck!
18 million hands – send them to the dnc!
    1. trace your hands on an 8×11 sheet of paper. make it colorful to grab attention.
    2. write your name and city/state in the center of your hands and the words “i am one of 18 million.”
    3. above the hands, write: “these hands are on the front lines of democracy. i pledge i will not vote for obama.”
    4. below the hands, write a line or two about your reasons you won’t vote for bo, why you are upset with the dnc, or whatever stirs your soul. we suggest you keep it fairly brief for maximum impact.
    5. put it in an envelope and send it off to the dnc.
    democratic national committee
    430 s. capitol st. se
    washington, dc 20003
    6. pass it on!!! post this call to arms wherever you can! let’s bombard the dnc with the millions of hands of the voters they dismissed, ignored, disenfranchised and belittled. and remember the old saying – “many hands make light work.”
special note if you live in florida: make it just half a hand! let them know you’d like to be a whole person again.

  33. on June 12th, 2008 at 10:34 am

This is what I am talking about!!!!!

    go to: ClintonDems.com

    Dear Clinton Dem,

As you probably know, Hillary still has her delegates and she will be taking them to the convention. Hillary has suspended her campaign, but she has not conceded. We realize that the DNC appears to be pushing Obama as their nominee, but know this — we are still “in it to win it”.

The role of the superdelegates is to use their independent judgment to select the candidate that has the greatest chance of winning in the fall and will make the best commander-in-chief. The owe us a duty to consider the will of the people in consideration.

Clinton Democrats are a lot like Hillary. We are strong minded, hardworking, caring and forthright people that believe in the the basic equality of all human beings — including women. We have principals and values that are core to the American way — and we believe that democracy is embodied by the phrase “one person, one vote”.

Hillary has fought her whole life for civil rights and has always been a voice for the voiceless. The biggest shame of this primary season is that too few have stood up for her.

Do not stop fighting. Do not give up on her, because she hasn’t given up on us. Do whatever little thing you can each day between now and the convention to show the country that you “have her back”.

    Pam Hamilton
    Clinton Democrats

Has anyone heard from the DNC??? Nobody from the Obama camp has dialed my number and the DNC has been strangely silent. Obama’s supporters say they don’t need Hillary’s people, they will win without us. I guess we’ll see… meanwhile, I’m being courted quite properly by the McCain camp. They graciously have invited me to join their briefings, participate in their townhalls and call quite regularly. That rather makes me feel included. Hmmm, what was that about Obama being elitist and out of touch?

    FYI

We already know that Jihadist Obama HUSSEIN is not QUALIFIED to be the President, we now know that he is not ELIGIBLE to be President under American law. This is a great comment to a post over at Michelle Malkin’s blog:
    On June 10th, 2008 at 8:37 am, legendx3 said:

Barack Obama is not legally a U.S. Natural-born citizen according to the law on the books at the time of his birth, which falls between “December 24, 1952 to November 13, 1986? . Presidential office requires a natural-born citizen if the child was not born to two U.S. Citizen parents, which of course is what exempts John McCain though he was born in the Panama Canal. US Law very clearly stipulates: “…If only one parent was a U.S. Citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16.” Barack Obama’s father was not a U.S. Citizen and Obama’s mother was only 18 when Obama was born, which means though she had been a U.S. Citizen for 10 years, (or citizen perhaps because of Hawai’i being a territory) the mother fails the test for being so for at least 5 years **prior to** Barack Obama’s birth, but *after* age 16. It doesn’t matter *after* . In essence, she was not old enough to qualify her son for automatic U.S. Citizenship. At most, there were only 2 years elapsed since his mother turned 16 at the time of Barack Obama’s birth when she was 18 in Hawai’i. His mother would have needed to have been 16+5= 21 years old, at the time of Barack Obama’s birth for him to have been a natural-born citizen. As aformentioned, she was a young college student at the time and was not. Barack Obama was already 3 years old at that time his mother would have needed to have waited to have him as the only U.S. Cizen parent. Obama instead should have been naturalized, but even then, that would still disqualify him from holding the office.

*** Naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of President. *** Though Barack Obama was sent back to Hawaii at age 10, all the other info does not matter because his mother is the one who needed to have been a U.S. Citzen for 10 years prior to his birth on August 4, 1961, with 5 of those years being after age 16. Further, Obama may have had to have remained in the country for some time to protect any citizenship he would have had, rather than living in Indonesia. Now you can see why Obama’s aides stopped his speech about how we technically have more than 50 states, because it would have led to this discovery. This is very clear cut and a blaring violation of U.S. Election law. I think the Gov. Of California would be very insterested in knowing this if Obama were elected President without being a natural-born U.S. Citizen, and it would set precedence. Stay tuned to your TV sets because I suspect some of this information will be leaking through over the next several days…

DAWG! This guy really is about flaunting his illegal behavior in all of our faces, isn’t he?

As a liberal woman, this website and JustSayNoDeal are an embarrassment. It’s obvious leftist women who support the Hillary “I Would Never Wear A Dress” Clinton hate all Americans except the minority groups of leftist women and gay men. By all means, act like a spoiled 3-year old who didn’t get his/her way, and the Republicans will laugh all the way to White House. Finally, you shouldn’t count on Obama choosing Hill as VP; he obviously know doing so would place her one short ride from Fort Marcy Park away from the presidency. Your actions and those of JustSayNoDeal smack of the racism exhibited by the Clintons during the Democratic primaries.

This liberal woman believes leftist feminism is killing America and American families.

Lawdy lawdy – there those obamanuts go again – the deep dirty secret of the DNC is that from day one, on every site and at every caucus if you were supporting anyone but the Precious Zero, you were called a racist. And who was playing the race card through this whole charade of a primary? It was too organized, and too repetitive not to be planned and taught and instructed by the Zero’s campaign. Most people when being called “racist” are so aghast and intimidated they just shut up. Well, jr., we’ve gotten use to that ploy. And the truth is – YOU ARE THE RACIST – obamanut.

WHAT COMES NEXT FOR US FORMER DEMOCRATS ?

    A NEW & VIABLE THIRD PARTY -

    “THE NEW DEMOCRATIC POPULIST PARTY”

    What comes next?

We have long been dissatisfied with the Democratic Party – the spineless Democratic Party – and now the
    crooked stealing primaries Democratic Party

It’s now time to gather together the ignored democrats, the blue collar democrats, the women democrats, democrats of every stripe and color
and form a NEW VIABLE THIRD PARTY – THE NEW POPULIST DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

It’s been obvious for a long time that the 2 party system no longer works. In my view the Democrats and Republicans have become one self interested party – working for themselves – and not THE PEOPLE of this country. Cooperating with oil companies, drug companies, outsourcing companies, supporting the military-industrial complex with their hands out to be filled with dollars which have now lost 75% of their value.

TIME FOR US – THE DISAFFECTED, THE DISGUSTED TO CONTINUE TO JOIN TOGETHER AND FORMALLY FORM A NEW PARTY WHICH HONORS THE ORIGINAL PRINCIPALS OF THE OLD DEMOCRATIC PARTY WHICH NO LONGER EXISTS !

Are you ready to do this ?

    What do you think?

If you are ready, please add the state you’re from to your comment.

When we have 50 states represented by a person, we’ll announce ourselves to PUMA & JUST SAY NO DEAL as the start of the New Democratic Populist Party.

I am shocked by the treatment our best two-term president endured during this campaign. First of all Bill Clinton faced impeachment over having sex with an intern and George Bush has gotten away with murder.

Second, Bill was absolutely right in stating what the rest of felt at the time. Obama didn’t have a chance in hell to be the president of the United States. Obama’s campaign was a fantasy at the time Bill said that.

Third, the fact that African Americans turned on him after being called racist over one comment, forgetting all he had done for blacks in his two-term presidency. I want to know who is racist when the vote is 92% to 8% for Obama.

Fourth, the treatment of the First Lady just because she was a women really brought out the treatment of women in general.

Fifth, what they both had to endure when Barack Obama claimed victory and acting like the nominee before he was declared the nominee.

Sixth, every time I said “gotcha” when shocking stories came out. It turned out he was the chosen one and the media did everything in their power to say we will report only the bad about the Clintons and ignore anything about Obama except for Fox News.

Seventh, to have Hillary lose the nomination over half votes and giving delegates to someone who wasn’t on the ballot has made many of us feel like this is a repeat of the 2000 and 2004 elections.

Eight, People who wouldn’t be where they are if it weren’t for the Clintons putting them in their administration turning on them the way they did in endorsing someone with no experience at all.

No wonder women are furious. We had to endure the constant misogyny of Hillary. We also were angry at women pundits who think attacking women make them one of the boys was unbelievable.

The way the media picked the nominee has got us all furious. Feeling like our votes were just an exercise and nothing more is not a good feeling in a Democracy.

Being from Arizona, I know that McCain is a crook. Our own governor was impeached for the very same acts. This man is the worst choice for many reasons. McCain does not deserve to be the president of this United States. McCain does not deserve an “ancient history”.

Many women and men who voted for Hillary in the primaries are planning on demanding that Hillary be on the first ballot at the convention. If that does not happen things could get very ugly in Denver. It won’t be a repeat of ’68 but what happens after the convention is going to be history making in the way Hillary voters cast their votes.

Many Hillary Clinton voters really feel that she is being forced to back Obama but secretly want us to carry on to Denver. With the “Million Voter March” being planned in all 50 states our voices will be heard.

Would you be complaining about racism if Hillary had received 92% of the black vote? Who is racist when 90% of blacks vote for Democrats?

“Fourth, the treatment of the First Lady just because she was a women really brought out the treatment of women in general.”

Nonsense! Hillary was rejected because she couldn’t sell four more years of Bill’s sexual harassment of women, his shady business deals and secrecy surrounding donors to his presidential library to Democratic voters.

As for deleting comments, I find it amusing when extreme liberals, who frequently resort to hate suddenly become so sensitive. I suppose it’s a sympton of their extreme political correctness.

Leftist feminist supporters of Hillary Clinton claim she’s a strong woman but can’t explain why she continues a marriage to a serial adulterer. Hana, I recommend you do some research before making comments. Racist: Bill or Hillary Clinton wasn’t the one that spent 20 yrs in a church that made racist remarks and then to say they never heard them. Yea, right. Some pople look at the issues and one of the largest complaints this election year is that Obama supporters are not looking at the facts, but viewing the candidate as an American idol.

Americans should get upset when they are told their vote doesn’t count. Caucuses were corrupt, threats & intimidation are used on voters, super-delegates don’t represent the people of the state they live in, again voters feeling their votes don’t count. Super-delegates receive monetary donations from a candidate, then just happen to endorse that candidate. Numerous misleading telephone calls to caucus delegates by primary candidates campaigns.

First, take a look at one of the numerous videos this delegate ended up feeling she needed to make showing the proof.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIJVLxhmbXw
This is not the only state that complaints and lawsuits have been filed in concerning this behavior. Delegates were not able to get registered at convention, they refused to hear challenges. There are many videos on things that happened at state conventions, but here is one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooh6enll_Lg

Some voters feel Senator Obama is inexperienced. Guess what, that is their right. He has changed his position (excuse me, refined) on NAFTA, the war in Iraq, the DC gun ban, video attached)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJFO6COAMCY
Senator Obama says he will creat affordable housing. Read the artice and see the housing he created in the district he represented in Chicago:

    http://opensecrets.org/pres08/contrib.php?
    cycle=2008&cid=N00009638
Just need to look at some result from district 18 in Chicago that he represented. I don’t think this is the kind of change they were looking for. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBofMELuSMA
Some voters are not mesmerized by a candidate but look at the issues. In democracy each person has a right to votethe way they want but it appears to me that the surrogates like to use the label racist, leftist feminist, c….t, bit.., extreme liberals, full of hate, whiners, and the list goes on and on. But yet those voters that support Senator Obama can not give you concrete proff, as evidenced by some of the blog responses, to why someone should vote for him.
    http://www.blackagendareport.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=682&Itemid=1

Voters have a right to stand up for democracy. The future does not belong to those who stay silent (Black Agenda Report). I am a democrat and I want change but I do not wan this type of change and want no one to be ignored like this. Do you?

  80. Hana said,

    NoObama –

First, Florida and Michigan were punished because of a violation of rules, something the Clintons don’t understand since they apparently believe rules don’t apply to them.

Secondly, I’m not a supporter of Senator Obama because I have serious reservations regarding his voting record.

I’m a moderate Democrat who believes the party has swung much too far to the left and has lost touch with the problems confronting families and, similar to their Republican counterparts, know little if anything about economics.

While extreme leftists are a minority in the Democratic Party, they control the party through media manipulation, propaganda, and corrupt political practices (the same is true of the ideologues who control the Republican Party), and the media, continually focused on tabloid news, is a useful idiot.

The parties, as mentioned, are largely controlled by ideologues who crave, first and foremost, power and will do anything, and everything, to gain power.

The media gives little coverage to the millions of Democrats who are moderates and completely ignores conservative Democrats while simultaneously promoting corrupt individuals such as Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton.

Similar to the vocal minority group of leftists who control the Democratic Party, the presumptive Democratic nominee and his opponent care about two things and only two things, namely abortion and more illegal immigration.

As a wife and mother, I abhor abortion except in very limited circumstances yet my voice is drowned out just as the voices of those in the Republican Party, who support abortion, are drowned out.

However, nothing in your post addressed my request – explain WHAT the Clintons have done for blacks. I beieve the answer is fairly obvious, but please make the effort.

    1. PUMAs will vote for McCain b/c he will do a better job turning the country around (from its current course).

    2. PUMAs will vote for McCain b/c he does not embody “old boy” politics that Hillary’s campaign battled.

    3. PUMAs will vote for McCain to get back at the Obama campagin.

    4. PUMAs will vote for McCain b/c they share Republican interests in banning abortion.

    4. PUMAs will vote for McCain b/c Hillary supporting Obama is only a party ploy.

I don’t understand most of the electorate and how they make decisions, anyway.

But I genuinely want to understand Hireheels b/c you guys have shared some really strong words and sentiments on this web site.

If I’m going to have to spend four more years with Republicans at the helm, I want to know from you guys why that’s worth it to you.

Also, I’d like to know tips / future plans how others of us who are tired of Republican gluttony and carelessness and smugness and self-righteousness should go about enduring 4 more years. You guys must know some way to tolerate a McCain adminstration. I’d like to know it.

if clinton and obama have said that they agree on the same issues and policies, why would a clinton supporter choose to vote for mccain, who has competely opposite thoughts and views than that of clinton? you would rather give up what you believe in, just to vote for someone who’s not obama?

the only thing I hear that is a true comment is his lack of experience (as compared to clinton and mccain). maybe it’s because he’s much younger in age than they are. also, was he not spending time practicing law, teaching, and doing community work? is this bad?

kennedy was a little on the in-experienced side, too. why was it ok for him? and he ended up being a great president.

so please, admit it, so we can stop arguing and lie about this anymore. we wanted hillary because she’s a woman. if she were elected president, then we would feel victorious as this would have been a giant step for womankind.

I was actually hoping clinton would win. and yes, because she’s a woman. but she didn’t.

between mccain and obama…..then obama, anyday. mccain doesn’t have a race card to use so he pulls out his POW card whenever it conveniences him (like on the jay leno show) instead. I would not wish the POW experience on my worst enemy, but when you throw that out all day long, it cheapens the experience.

I was happy with either obama or clinton. as long as it was a democrat and not 4 more years of the current 8 years, I was ok.

but reading these comments from clinton supporters make me feel that they are angry, vindictive, and petty people. just sad.

I think it’s “lol” to even consider McCain seeing how republicans are notorious for their conservative views on the world and women alike.

But that’s just my input. It seems more of a “I didn’t make the team, so I’m going to cheer for the other team” kind of game. Support the lesser of two evils.

I can’t wait until comments about McCain’s VP choice get posted. I hope that the dear readers see the obvious attempt to patronize and pander to groups like this. Of course, it’s a longshot attempt to get disaffected Hillary supporters to vote gender. But if you look at her politics and views (Anti-choice [even in cases of rape and incest], pro gun, pro-drilling, in favor of teaching creation in schools, anti-global warming, and quite possibly even against contraception, a policy that files right in with evangelicals and radical religious nuts), any thinking woman should stay far away from this ticket.
4 more years of this? Please, think before you vote.

Race and Hype in the 2008 Election

A closer look into the election campaign reveals troubling factors influencing the American vote.

    by Shireen Qudosi ∙ @yahoo.com">Shireen.Qudosi@yahoo.com

The 2008 election finds its biggest challenge to be the people’s perception of Barack Obama. The American people, the deciders of the next president of the United States, see Obama through the filter of race and image.

    Proving non-racist attitudes

Too many Americans have been swayed by the image of things and by the obvious race card in this election. And in this context they think voting for Obama will demonstrate tolerance. If this is our reasoning, then what’s next? What about when it’s the first gay candidate running for office, the first transvestite, the first transgendered?

Are we going to vote someone in just to prove we’re tolerant – when in fact, a choice made to prove you’re open-minded only proves that you’re not. If you’re truly not racist, then you don’t feel the need to prove it. Those voting to prove non-racist attitudes show they value image above truth.

There’s only one reason to vote someone in – and that’s because you believe they’re the best for the job. You don’t vote for a president to prove you’re open-minded; nor do you base your choice on guilt.

Some voters carry a guilty conscience impressed upon them through various sources. These are Americans who have been made to feel at fault for America’s slave history, made to feel responsible for acts that occurred centuries before they existed. Americans are anchored into a past, told they had slaves picking cotton, that our country was one of the biggest promoters of the slave trade.

But listeners and speakers of this history forget one fact. The fact is that that America no longer exists. That was an America of 200 years ago. This is an America of the 21st century.

The slave trade had nothing to do with anyone that is alive today. Americans need to stop making apologies for something that does not need apologizing for. We need to seriously rethink electing a president based on some obscure sense of guilt or distorted perception of advancement.

When people are bothered about image, we are left with a society that is not truthful.

And society that is not truthful has no hope for change.

On November 4th, a vote based on trying to prove non-racist attitudes ensures America enters a dark age masquerading as progress and change.

    Unthinking race

A society moving forward doesn’t deepen racial lines by giving them more attention, more power, and more credit. A society of this magnitude knows these barriers are nothing more than fictitious creations. Giving any relevance to race is an archaic mindset – a prehistoric and outdated way of thinking.

Many black voters are using the election as a race confrontation. This group treats his candidacy as a step forward for black people, forgetting that if he were to be chosen, it would be because a majority of the American people made that choice; a majority of the American people with mixed “race and ethnicities”. But this fact is ignored unless it is pointed out.

The attitude adopted by people focusing on race is a dangerous mindset that was cemented by the Obama fist bump.

    Gang mentalities

Easily-led people were impressed with the bump, seeing it as ‘cool’, recognizing it as something familiar. But a fist bump is an exclusionary act – it’s about superiority. A fist bump suggests a gang mentality.

A gang mentality that’s stressed again and again even by those who are supposedly well-educated and well-respected.

Some of these well-respected appear on nationally syndicated TV shows, some have PhDs, and some (even in this day and age) still go around declaring they’re “a free black man”. Such were the words of a wild-eyed Dr. Cornel West during a rather awkward interview on The Colbert Report, aired Wednesday September 24, 2008. He is one example you can see for yourself; he is one of many who hold a gang mentality, seeing themselves as separate from others based on race.

People like this make the idea of racial inequality possible. They give an unnatural life to an idea that cannot exist without these types of people powering it. These people, these ‘educated’ men with shockingly primitive attitudes voice their support for Obama – a choice likely to be based on color.

After titles are stripped away, there’s sometimes very little difference between the man down the street and the man behind the podium; they both bear the capacity to have a gang mentality. But the man behind the podium is looked up to because of the image given to him. His words of ‘wisdom’ are even more dangerous because they are repeated. His ideas are fatal because they lack understanding.

There are people in positions of power and influence who make race an issue – people who do not see one united America , but a black and white America , an America divided. This is a severe form of ignorance that speaks against American ideals.

The words of such speakers are horrifying. And sometimes, their words are left unchallenged and left to spread without the slightest voice of dissent. These thoughts are a plague to America and dangerous to a society that desperately needs racism to be a thing of the past.

This diseased perception of race, of promoting a gang mentality, is often unintentionally given validity – as seen with this campaign’s first presidential debate. Hosted at the University of Mississippi, the school was highlighted for its history during segregation. Again, race was focused upon – and this time by a multitude of people with a multitude of backgrounds. The same mentality that gave rise to racism and segregation was being drawn upon to once again bring attention to race…a mentality that creates differences.

The speech that still needs to be made

This election is not about race; it cannot be about one race beating another race. If this candidate wins, it could not have been because blacks voted him into office – but unless this is pointed out by Obama himself, this is exactly what far too many people will think. This has happened before on several levels. Each time it leads to reverse racism and increases superiority within much of the black community. And this will happen again on the biggest scale possible, unless Barack Obama calls out against this and says that he does not want a vote if it’s a vote cast on race.

So the real question is what is Barack Obama going to do? Is he going to say that it’s not about race but about America? Is he willing to take a stand against the use of this image?

Because if his image is being used to promote racism, and he doesn’t take a stand against it, then he is escalating racism.

If nothing is said, if this fact is not addressed, and if he gets elected, America will fall deeper into the abyss of uncertain times. If the people do not understand the relevance of what is happening, and if our leaders do not act on it, what hope is there for a better tomorrow?

    A nation of free-thinking individuals

A main aspect of this campaign is that it has stopped being about the presidency, and about how people think the world is going to look at them, how they’re going to look at each other. A vote on race or image is the choice of an insecure and weak-minded individual

Neither race, nor gender, nor any other shallow reason has anything to do with how good someone will be at their job. Nor does it matter what presidents look like, dress like, talk like, move like – who they’re surrounded by, which have more glam magazine features.

This brings us to the glamorous photo shoot of famed black models playing the role of Barack and Michelle in the White House. While I do not claim Obama’s camp sponsored the feature, the effort (whoever it was initiated by) nonetheless demonstrates a type of propaganda used to influence you. What is this if not a mockery of the position and of us, as the majority of the public is influenced by the image and the conceit it brings. These images have become a signpost of “cool”. But it’s actually a very uncool thing to make a choice based on its image or the image it gives you. Being supportive of the image in any way is a disgrace to America and goes against the very meaning of America.

We’re talking about presidents here. We’re talking about one of the most important jobs in the world. Anyone who uses image to influence you shows how little they really think of you. They show that they think you’re weak enough to be won over with glitz and glam – weak enough to be impressed by the appearance of things.

People think focusing on race and image is a rebellious act. But it’s not rebellious to choose something based on appearance and labels – it’s anti-rebellious. A truly rebellious person will see through the façade of label and image, and will see it for the mask that it is.

If you’re a free thinker, then you’re not impressed by image.

    You’re not a follower.

Remembering what this role is about

The role of president of one of the most powerful nations on this earth demands more solemn consideration. The role is not an opportunity to showcase distorted examples of advancement, because if that’s why we’ve put someone in office, we prove we do not understand what advancement means.

Doesn’t the presidency deserve more respect than the vanity of image?

Does it not require that we look at both candidates with brutal honesty and take in only truth above any other factor?

The position requires an individual who will speak up if his image is being used to promote racism in any form. The role of president calls for a person of solid character, willing to stand up and say what needs to be said, each time every time – regardless of how they will be perceived by the public.

We need someone who not only sees truth, but practices it, implements it, and through the position, transforms America into a nation of truth above all else. This is true advancement.

The American people need to remember what this position is about. The people need to decide what is more important, image or truth? On November 4th, are we going to be able to say, “Look what we’ve done, we’ve voted in the first black president”, or “We’ve voted in the right person for the job”?

We have a great responsibility vested in us to make the right choice.

When the life of the average American worker is frightfully uncertain, when you live today not knowing what tomorrow will bring, when times are hard,

Do you want someone who will protect you, or do you want someone who can make things look good but who lacks the understanding needed for such a critical role?

As America, we cannot forget our priorities or what is at risk if we surrender to image. We have to remember what is at stake here; we have to remember we have very real enemies with deadly agendas,

Enemies waiting for a weakness. Enemies waiting to strike.

It’s not just about the presidency,

    It’s about our survival.

I see some shameless FAUX “ex” Hillary supporters fresh from Obama camp with it’s talking point “I used to be a Hillary supporter too” meme have been here. We can spot bullshit a mile away you know.

If you were a Hillary supporter and you worked on the campaign and you saw those caucus frauds and the CHEATING that went on and then can blow that off you are either insane or nothing affects you either way much so you’ll just go ahead and vote for a bullying thug, who steals your vote because hey, it’s not like anyone fought or died for the right to vote is it? *sarcasm*

I blog under this name now for a REASON. My vote was rendered voiceless by that lying election stealing bastard Senator Barack Obama. I will NOT forgive or forget that. EVER.

So much hate?? Really? How about where was YOUR voice when hatred was spewed as a nightly meal on every channel against my gender and lies were told as truth against a viable female candidate without a peep. Not a peep. Lies that some steal believe in and spew as truth because they don’t know any better and swallow the “newz” as if it’s fact. Then there was the piling on of the pundit misogynists all with a sound of *crickets* from the oh so concerned faux liberals who only stand for THIER side, and not for a single principle they say they care about. *crickets*

My vote matters, so do millions of others who got cheated. Obama and Axelrod pointed fingers of “dirty machine campaign” while THEY were the ones guilty of that. They repeated it over and over as fact and the blind swallowed it gasping, and hyperventilating if anyone dared to stand up for themselves against his bullshit health care ads, his saying she didn’t have the thirty FIVE years of experience she indeed does. Never questioning why he’d need to say that, or that it’s sexist to diminish a womans’ record to puff up your lack of one. Never reading the Senate records in full, OR the background activities. Her community organizing started at age FOURTEEN in Obama’s own back yard and unlike his, hers was successful. The education initiatives, the programs still working today, the pro bono work for abused children, the Beijing conference, allll wiped out because Obama said it wasn’t so, it never happened and you all bought it hook line and fucking sinker.

That’s fine, Obama is a liar who ran the dirtiest campaign I’ve ever seen full of thugs who shut down blogs, who threatened death and rape online while saying poor, poor Obama was being persecuted. All lies. Go read “Alinsky’s rules for radicals” and about where Alinsky got those mob ideas from. Obama learned those mob tactics well. He’s NOT a change agent in any good way and saying you are, and being smooooth at saying it doesn’t make it a fact.

Steal my vote, when my g. grandmother was a beaten suffragette who fought for it and was ill the rest of her life from that fight and I say fuck you. I’ve been an activist my entire life and you do not steal my vote and expect me to vote WITH the people who did it.

How dare you anyway. If this had been done to Obama you’ wouldn’t have the nerve to say to black people they were being “hateful” about it, you’d realize they had every right. If this had happened to the Obama campaign, you’d stand up to it but, oh it’s just women so it’s allll okay.

If it’s the last thing I ever do in this life I am going to expose what happened here and Obama’s legacy will go down in the history books as being the biggest election fraud in the nations history. Great on him, he brought it on himself and some of you played right along not thinking there would ever be any pay back. Well there will, whether he goes to the White House or not, the truth will come out and the facts are that Obama makes Nixon look angelic.
