So Hillary finally canned the "strategist" who screwed up her campaign. Good for her. Hey, we’ve all hung onto screw-up friends, significant others, even employees far longer than we should have. I won’t go into tons of inside baseball on the subject, other than to say good riddance.
But you know what makes me want to put a stiletto through someone’s forehead? A well-known progressive blogger using castration language on this story A guy named Josh Marshall who runs a (usually) kick-ass political blog called Talking Points Memo titles his story, "Full Firing? Or just gelded?"
Gelded. Like a stallion with his cojones cut off, ladies. I’ve read a lot of Josh Marshall, and while I don’t always agree with him, he’s generally one of the good guys. But he just called a sitting U.S. senator and strong candidate for president A CASTRATING BITCH. If a male candidate had done the same thing, reporters would be calling it "daring," "bold," "decisive." But no. We get "gelded."
And people wonder why I’m cranky. If it’s okay to call a sitting U.S. senator and strong candidate for president a castrating bitch, imagine what it’s okay to call you. Me. Your sister. Your mother. Your best friend. A woman who doesn’t have all the advantages that Hillary Clinton has had, or that we have.
I’m not suggesting that you vote for Hillary simply because we all have the same plumbing. I’m suggesting that the way we show everyone that treating an ambitious, accomplished woman that way is garbage…and, as every good bitch knows, victory is the best revenge.

amen sister….we’re supposed to be going forward with hillary’s candidacy - not backwards….and the fact randy rhodels called her a a name second only to the “C” word….disgusting….and from a professional woman?!?!?!? i get sicker every day i turn on the tv and radio….

isn’t mandy grunwald the real brains within clinton’s ‘messaging’ camp….penn was gross…..turned women OFF not on….let him crunch numbers in the boiler room…his strategy sucked!

you ladies get no respect out there…hillary has shown she can take it so i guess that’s a plus…as a guy, i’ve gotta agree…men do suck sometimes….keep up the good fight.

mark penn was such a weight on the clinton campaign….i d o think he’s getting a far worse rap than he deserves…their mistake was putting him in front of a camera….didn’t translate well AT ALL! His specialty was always trends & numbers….he just should have identified the trends and crunches the numbers…not direct the campaign’s strategy. let’s hope there is time enough left to turn the ship

Sounds like Josh Marshall is infected with “good old boy” syndrome, one symptom of which is a tendency to try, verbally at least, to put women down because they’re afraid we can do a better job than they’ve done. Hope he recovers.
