Poor Obama - It isn’t Easy Being Green
Green?
No, not the daily debate: Do I abstain from purchasing my fave fab Fiji bottled water or just drink tap? It’s the pressing, toe-![]()
pinching question: How do I hire a person for the most prominent, powerful and prestigious position in the world, when his resumé does not show me that he has the experience to stand tall and deliver? So why do the pundits and so-called smart folks think he’s such a shoe-in? Sure, Senator Obama is brilliant and accomplished; I would have loved him to be my philosophy prof, to be sure— but I don’t want to have a philosophical discussion or even a debate about what we might do to reverse the negative spiral that has been spinning out of control in our country. I WANT SOLUTIONS and I want them now.
He is running a campaign that places judgment over experience. Natch, a valid tactic, but when you send one of your most valued and visible foreign policy advisors to speak to the foreign press and make the blunder that Professor Power did, I question judgment and experience. Sure, it’s cool to be uber-intellectual and when you’re super-smart you can fly by the seat of your pants and try to parachute right into the presidency. The rest of us have to work at it a bit harder, however. That means research, that means knowing that the foreign press does not subscribe to the same ethics that the american press does. That means unless you want your unattractive rant to be plastered all over every newswire in the world, have the forethought to keep your sensible shoes tied and your mouth shut!
On the question of judgment when choosing a church, a pastor and an official spiritual advisor… not to mention… mentioning the Reverend in his 1995 book and naming his 2006 memoir after Reverend Wright’s speech “Audacity To Hope…” I would think that Senator Obama’s choice is now really giving him blisters. How can we believe that Senator Obama after twenty years of attending Trinity Church did not once observe the divisive and malicious language that was spewed from the pulpit on the recent video footage that has been blasting all over the media? Yes, Senator Obama has denounced vehemently what Reverend Wright has preached on those video clips… but if he truly believes in unity and mutual understanding, HOW could he place his young daughters in such an environment (even if they happened to have been absent from the church during some of those sermons). You are not born prejudiced; prejudice is learned. For a candidate who professes on the stump time and time again to be the man who can truly unite our country…it is green to think that being connected in any manner to such divisive language would affect positive change in any way.
Unite our country…? Sadly, Senator Obama, I’m digging my heels in and saying, “No, you can’t.”

How has Obama managed to reclaim his “Judgement” authority….the media has been far too forgiving of 20 years of bad judgement, not to mention this new connection to Ayers - an radical ‘american’ terrorist….by fbi standards anyway…bottom line: he is a such an opportunitist….even if he doesn’t agree with ayers and wright, it’s obvious he used them….and how about the fact that the Obama’s largest donation was to wright’s church…..heard their overall charitable donations were disproportionately small…compared to what they raked in….WHAT A FRAUD Obama is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
